I think I looked at this wrong. I've just rechecked the picture and realise it's lower than what I remembered. It does look nicely in line with the trem and picking area, doesn't it? So, I guess it does make it nice and easy to get swells happening with ease while using the trem. Saves having to move far from that area down to where the usual volume pot sits.
Interesting and quite nice to have cause it means you don't have to be tied to a volume pedal. Hmm...

Peter opens the door to a salesman trying to sell volcano insurance. Peter says, we haven't had any volcanos in Quahog. The guy says, "don't you think we're due one?" and Peter replies with the famous line.
Great episode! I think it's something to do with him getting a jewish lawyer to get his money back from the insurance hack. And Chris, with Peter's help, wants to convert. :)

After reading Brian's Soapbox entry about his new guitar wired in parallel, has anyone wired their Red Special differently for a day yet, to see if there's any significant change?

Dude...are you staking out my place cause I did that like a 2 weeks ago! I had my old Hohner about and also a set of my old Brian May Burns pickups hanging around. I really wanted them in the Hohner to give it an even more Brian-like sound.
It's wired up parallel and it sounds pretty good. Hard for me to really explain, but I think it's got a better treble to it and also, it seems to have some interesting sounds to do with the tone pots. I'm not sure what I've done, but it seems to be phase related.
The Hohner also has a special push/pull pot on the middle tone pot to give it a humbucker treatment to the bridge and middle. It all works very nicely. But...the electronics in the guitar are obviously needing an overhaul as I'm getting some hum on all settings. No amount of tinkering gets rid of it. :( I may have to completely rewire it which would be...ok I guess. Just means having to get all new pots (cause they're really scratchy) and some wiring. I hope to make it much better sounding. So, yeah, it's worth doing. But surprisingly, I don't find the clean sounds anything to write home about.

They dont, but the fact he's on stage with Queen will attract a certain amount of attention. He doesnt think of himself as a celebrity I can assure you!
