Ha ha! The knob was just left there so it matched Brian's guitar.

Going to Rome this weekend, cant wait! Got a very early flight though :-(

Or is it just guff? I mean, really![/QUOTE]

Dude...are you staking out my place cause I did that like a 2 weeks ago! I had my old Hohner about and also a set of my old Brian May Burns pickups hanging around. I really wanted them in the Hohner to give it an even more Brian-like sound.

Haha, no staking-out going on.... Brian's article just got me thinking; in a noisy live environment, we probably won't be able to appreciate the difference in guitar sound,
but if someone (ie. you, I guess!) has done wiring like this, then we'll know what changes.

But cool, man!

No. And yes you can do volume swells easily with a normal positioned volume knob. It just takes practice. That picture shows it pretty high which would be a strange spot for that. It would also be easier to put in a volume pedal instead of modifying a guitar to include a higher positioned volume knob! The hands are too busy either picking, on the trem bar or holding a note on the fretboard.

That guitar knob is proving an interesting piece here...

Are we acknowledging that I was right all along yet?

Absolutely not. I think it's a self-destruct button.

You were absolutely right PG! My apologies good sir. :)
Yeah, you were right, P_G. Thanks, Sarah. :)
