Sorry for all of you Paul Rogers fans....you may want to look away....
I am a HUGE Queen Fan, and I mean HUGE! However, I have to say that I am sooooo dissapointed in the new album and Paul himself! I read that Freddie really always loved his voicce, that is his oppinion.
I will always believe that Brian, Roger and John could have done this on their own without a new front man.
The fact that Paul needed a teleprompter for their first tour was an insult to all Queen fans. You find 1 queen fan that can't sing all of the lyrics and then I will believe that he needed that! Funny enough, the telepromter turned off during his "Free" songs...so lame.
I saw the telepromter because we were in the 9th row in NYC during their first US tour....they rocked, Paul sucked and honestly I refuse to buy the new album because of him and where the band has gone...it is just not the same anymore. I know that nobody can replace Freddie...so why not do that...no replacement!
I understand if John is not playing anymore because of this reason....but Brian and Roger and the rest of the band BESIDES Paul...you guys kicked ass!

I'm not a PR fan but I do think you're being really unfair. I think he's really brave to be able to sing in front of all of Freddie's fans. He's doing a great job and I wish people would stop comparing him to Freddie because he's just different. When you can sing as well as him then I think you have a right to complain. None can ever be as good as Freddie but at least he's making an effort so just leave him alone!! Without him there'd be no Queen anymore!!!

I didn't read the entire string so pardon me if this is a repeat but....I would have gone to the "after Freddie' Queen concert IF...the singer sounded like Freddie. I think Mika or Robbie Williams would have been a better result. Both of these singers are actually Queen/Freddie fans, too. I never liked either Free or Bad Company so Paul Rodgers just wouldn't have been my choice. Thank you for reading.
I do miss the sound that Deacy added to Queen. But from the interviews I've read it sounds like he just doesn't think Queen is complete without Freddie. Still, I am surprised that he didn't show up for the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction.
I think John realised that with the death of Freddie, it was inevitable that they'd split. He was probably exhausted from all the tours of the 80's and wanted to enjoy his millions.
I think he's smart, that he got out when he did. Look at Rolling Stones, tragic!!! They all look like they just stepped out of the Dawn of the Dead set!!
I don't think Queen + PR is Queen anymore, rather two Queen members, who formed another band with two other blokes.

My dear John...
You can not even imagine how much I miss you...

You know, I was just thinking that myself!

John is smart, he knows there is no point even trying to continue with "Queen" without freddie, its a joke that they are even trying. Continue playing but dont use the Queen name.

Stupid statement! You call it a joke that they are trying to continue for their fans that never saw Queen with Freddie but they try to at least let them see part of the Queen experience?
Also, they are not using the Queen name. They are using Queen+Paul Rodgers. They used +Paul Rodgers to symbolize that it was not going to be the same but they are still going.

So go see a fucking tribute band. Brian and Roger are artists who want to create something NEW.
I swear the mindset of Queen "fans" is ridiculous.

Couldn't aggree more, go see a tribute band some of them are qite good or put on a DVD but don't expect Paul Rodgers to impersonate Freddie and don't expect Brian and Roger to go on tour with a sound alike. God I mean they're getting enough stick for the QPR thing, what in the hell would be said if they went out with someone trying to be Freddie. BAD BAD BAD IDEA!!!

Excuse me, but what is written in the bass drum? Unless I lost my ability to read and join characters to form words, I still read "Queen" there. This thing reminds me of the "New Coke" or whatever are the new names they found for the same (haha) product.

If I'm not mistaken "NEW COKE" was a new product was it not? and was a disaster hence the launch of Coke "Classic" I might be wrong to be honest.
Anyway of course it still says Queen on the bass drum. Roger is still a member of Queen or at least whats left of it.
By the way Marco Napier, the guitar playing is coming along nice, fingers aren't as raw but crispy now. F is still a bitch mind you!! Thanks for your interest.
