Not that QPR should be known to open for U2, it oughta be a 2 1/2 hour show, hour break and then another 2 - 2 1/2 hour show by U2 with a 1/2 hour jam of both bands. Start at 6 in the evening and be done by midnight, etc. etc. Stadiums only.

I'd like to see The Darkness open for Queen - might be a bit difficult though seeing as they've been split up for a year or more!! Justin Hawkins' latest band are supporting Extreme in the UK at the moment thought - almost the same?!!!

yes KTSS r a good live band and worth seeing but even with paul rodgers on vocals with QUEEN,, KISS r not worthy of being in the same arena let alone sharing the same stage.

...sorry but what exactly are you saying here? No you're right about two things- Kiss [b]can't[/b] hold a candle to Queen -[b]musically[/b]. And Kiss do indeed employ the use of gimmickry. But my post refers to who the bigger band NOW is - nothing to do with [i]artistic[/i] merit at all. Kiss still sell out stadiums dude. Pub-rock and gimmicks still sell when it comes to Kiss, and this relates back to the reason this thread started. There's no way that Kiss would open for Q+pr.

that's funny, I know a lot of people who put kiss in front of queen as a great band. I just saw a list that had kiss at #3 and queen at #7 of the best 70's bands, so not everyone agrees with you. I personally can't stand kiss, but we can't deny their even more popular (at least in the states) than queen are.

It's good to see someone at queenzone living in reality. I think most people would go to see that show for kiss then walk out before queen and paul even play a note. to be honest, Queen + paul would have to open for kiss. and kiss would blow them off the stage, their fans are passionate. Queen without freddie put on a nice show, but paul isn't nearly the entertainer that mercury is.

oh, queenfred, don't get your panties into a bunch. you're right that kiss would never open for queen, or anyone for that matter - their egos are way too big (even though they can't back it up musically). And that's all I was saying. My main point was, I just want to see queen again - don't care who else they're sharing the stage with. Just want them back in america, but sadly that probably won't happen...
The idealistic tour would be Queen + Paul Rodgers & U2. Both are credo worthy and if QPR wants to be noticed for the new music, start playing the alleged hits such as "Call Me", "Time To Shine" and those that are already on board live.

I loathe KISS, with a passion. I don't think there's any other band I despise more than KISS. But, I'm game for a Queen and KISS tour. It's obvious Queen Productions aren't worth a crap when it comes to promoting a record or a tour, so have Gene Simmons do it. Say what you will about him, but the man is a great business man and he knows the business inside an out. If Queen + PR do decide to hit the road with KISS, I can assure you it will be one of the more popular tours of 2009. I'll see my heroes and leave by the time KISS go on stage, or get there late just to see Queen + PR.
Well people let's stack up a little Detroit Rock City up against Another One Bites the Dust and we'll see which one is better. I am a fan of Queen too but KISS is the hottest band in the world. Queen should be honored to even have the opportunity to tour "with" KISS. Queen, if even asked to tour with KISS, would NO DOUBT be the opening act...
So, a Queen + Paul Rodgers & U2 tour is not out of the question?
