Listen, I agree this is silly... I've probably overreacted a bit, but you must realise it's not really fair for you to decide which threads deserve mocking and which don't.

You've got to remember that there are also some younger fans, or newer fans who like to chat about the topics you have deemed deserve mocking. Some folk enjoy posting seriously in some less serious subjects, but that's up to them surely? I just think that more people might start getting involved here if they weren't worried that they were going to be made fun of... no matter how harmlessly that fun is meant.

You actually can be quite funny, but you've been here for a long while like many others, what topics did you get involved with when you first came here?

That's basically true, but ... gosh darn it, it's very hard sometimes.  It basically comes down to my having formed bad habits over the years.  I would barge into threads that were genuinely bizarre (ie. someone asserting that Freddie Mercury was the only rockstar with a sense of rhythm - EVER) and give them a good verbal bashing.  I suppose, as time goes by and I get more cynical, more threads seem to look decidedly silly or familiar.

It is, I admit, something I do a mite too often, but it's an exaggeration to say 'always'.  Or, on the flipside, to say that I never contribute to Queen related discussions.  I like Queen, that's why I'm here (believe it or not!).

Yeah.  If I have a failing it is that I tend to operate by my own rules on these forum places...  I basically figure, if someone has a problem, they'll say so (as you have!). 
It wouldn't be more than a week ago that I had someone called Flush_Gurdun having a go at me - big whoop.  I pissed them off, they complained and tried to insult me; we're square as far as I'm concerned. 
If he still has a problem, it's his, not mine.  Vice versa.

In instances where someone is genuinely offended and handles it in a gracious or mature manner (or contacts me privately, as has happened in the past) I have no problems apologising and trying to clarify things.  This has happened before;  I will spare you examples, though...   heh.

If someone wants to act like a dick, then a dicky attitude really all I can offer to them in return...  one has to take everything on this site with a grain of salt.  You never ever know if it's just someone pulling your chain.

Well it's not often that I launch into new users.  In fact I'm usually very well behaved in "Hello I'm new here" threads.  I remember quite clearly what it was like coming to this forum in.... err..... 2004.  Ish.  I've been on the receiving end of QZ insanity, believe you me.

Oh, the predictable stuff...  first I came here because I wanted to download "The Story of Bohemian Rhapsody".  Then I wanted to know what order the songs on "Made in Heaven" were recorded in.  The obvious questions, though I don't think I've ever asked where Jim Hutton or John Deacon are...

In any event, I've had a raft of misunderstandings and tussles on this forum, some of which were resolved quite amicably (in private, usually).  To me these arguments aren't much more than verbal jousting - and if any lasting harm is done, I'm sorry about that.

But you know, people mock my heroes too!  I could choose to get annoyed about Pete Townshend kiddie porn jokes, but frankly I don't have the energy.  Fuck 'em, is what I say; and to anyone who does not like Zebonka12, I wish you'd say the same thing and move on.  Life's too short!

I, too, think the Torpedo Twins suck.  Or, perhaps better put, the decision on QP's part to continue to use them almost exclusively sucks, because the Torpedo Twins aren't really great documentarians.

Now, wouldn't it be great if we could just talk about the topic at hand, without Zebonka et al. going on and saying, "Yeah, well, if Freddie hadn't stuck his arse out and gotten AIDS ...."?
