Well, dear Jadelady, I do play in a band, but it's such a big one that I don't even get noticed!!! It's a way of organizing the band so that there are always people covering my fumbles. It's a way people found to make music sound larger than life and musicians cover each other's mistakes, in the hope that some individual flaws won't destroy the whole performance.
They even came up with a fancy name for this: "Orchestra".
It's a drag! If you're doing everything right, no one notices you; if you do things wrong, there's always a "comrade", let's say, who's going to pick on you and have the whole band know the bad step. : -))
Best regards.

Actually I do think that other members of QZ should form a new band called "Treasure Moment". I bet even the worst of us could come up with better music, and it'd really piss off that drug addled incestuous knob-end.
I'm a dreamer.

I'm down for that :-D
I think for starters we should all pick instruments that we don't ordinarily play or aren't very good at. Therefore I'm putting myself down for either brass or percussion.
I play flute in school band, and occasionally play piano in church. i can play Bo Rhap on piano.

W found a drummer, new guitarist and sax... gig at the end of the month...
Well, I play the Viola, and used to do a lot of string quartet work, and besides, I began to learn guitar by myself, and met another string quartet violist, found of rock'n roll, who plays Bass guitar...
We only had one session so far (with a violin maker, playing guitar, and a couple of other friends for drums, keyboard, and vocals), during we tried several covers (Symptom of the Universe, Hard to handle, Enter Sandman, Tie your Mother Down, Highway to hell)
it was a bit of a mess cause if we all started together, ending a song was harder, but what a fun we had!
I hope "Shemay" (name of the band from a belgian beer, and BHM...) will rock on!
cheers!

Anything else is merely side work.
Truer words were never spoken, except, perhaps NO ANDREAS, NO TREASURE MOMENT.
Once in a while, I'll go a few days without shaving and put some ragged clothes on and then I go to Boston in the business district, and I gently play an acoustic guitar. I get good money for it.
