4/10 VOCALS !!!!!!!!!!!!! (mainly Paul Rodgers's anyway!!)
That, my friend, is f4nboi talk.

Paul is one of the best vocalists in the business. It may be sacrilege to say this on this forum, but he's better than Freddie in some respects. It doesn't mean I prefer Paul to Freddie, but I give credit where it's due.

Paul has better precision and more diverse phrasing, and is a better improviser in live performances. Actually, it's not a coincidence many professional musicians admire Paul - sometimes more Freddie. And to a casual listener, Paul is edgier and heavier.

Don't get me wrong, if dissing a legend could bring another legend from the grave, I would be first with a basket of rotten eggs at QPR concerts. However, it does not. So instead of being fanboys... excuse me, F4NBOIZ, we should be honoured such a legend plays with Brian and Roger and continues the Queen legacy.

Kudos man, I couldn't have said it better myself.

To answer the original poster though...I have liked the song a lot more as it's aged. It's grown on me. And there are certain songs I've come to appreciate more.

WTF are you talking about? I was replying to the person that started the thread, & agreeing that as the album has gotten older with me, I've started to like it more. Keep doing whatever drugs you're doing, they seem to be doing a damned good job keeping you out of reality.

Oh sweet merciful Mother Mary Magdalene on a motherhumpin' motorboat. It's their debut album as Queen + PR. What did you expect? A second ANATO with a bit of Queen II sauce on top of it?

Like Queen's first album was an immediate success.

Give them a fuckin' break.

Wich drugs came with the TCR-album? What is reality .....Pretending that Paul Rodgers is doing a good job on the Queen-songs ....and not ruining it ? Pretending TCR is a good album ....What if it we're a Queen-album ?(most Q+PR-fans say it's not "supposed" to sound like Queen) What would you say then ?
I'm sure by that time you haven't got a clue what to do ...than talking maybe your-sorry-self in taking hughe amounts of drugs ....you seem to fancy it quite well [/img]

I don't know what some people expected. I expected a great heavy rock/blues album with nice guitar solos and that's exactly what I received

I am certainly not happy with Mr May's guitar-work on the TCR....much below average ....
A poor man's Santana really ! piss-poor actually....nothing I can remember from TCR that I actually enjoyed.
Even in the few ok-ish songs it's simply not there , or waaaay too short, boring even at times.

Brian and Roger are better off finishing Freddie's demos and protect what's left of the legacy !!!!!

TCR is still the average album it's always been.  The album has a few gems, but most of the songs are forgettable.

Not as much true as it is opinion!

I'll never forget Warboys, We Believe, Cosmos Rockin, ect.

It's not a bad album, especially when you aren't an overobsessed fan trying to find the Queen sound in it.  Some people need to get a wider range in taste of music.  I hope that they have a second album :)

Sorry, but there are two weak spots in the album:

1. The Songs
2. The Lyrics

It has already become a dust collector.

When is the last time Brian or Roger has stretched out? I can't even remember - but I really look forward to the next time - if there is one.

Well, to be honest...you remind me a lot of Treasure Moment, in how you hold Freddie to almost a God-like status...which is kind of sad to me. He was a genius musician, an incredible singer, and the best showman rock ever had...but he was just a MAN. I'm not much of a pretender (something else you're falsely assuming), I'm a twenty-something multi-instrumentalist w/ 8 years of experience under my belt. I'm not a virtuoso, but I've been around enough, and played out enough that I know what a good voice, or a good instrumentalist sounds like...weather I like the interpretation or performance is one thing...but I'm not too pious, or full of my own shit to give people credit where its due. I'm not saying you, or anyone else is either; frankly I don't personally know any of you...but I can speak for myself. It is MY opinion that Paul Rodgers does a great job on Queen's back catalogue, he does it his way & doesn't compromise his unique voice. He's probably the last real voice of Rock today. Also I think that The Cosmos Rocks is a solid album, especially when you put into context with all of the other albums that were new and in circulation with it upon its release. I can tell that they're feeling each other out a little, & personally...I hope they do another album. But who knows.

Bottom line...you don't seem to give a shit what I think about Paul, or Queen & Paul Rodgers...and trust me, the feeling's mutual. You seem to know a fair amount about Queen and their music, but not an awful lot about music in general. And finally, I've never been a junkie...nor do I talk like I am, I don't even do drugs now...just an occasional drink. But your candor, certainly could've fooled me sometimes (but that's probably due to our very diverging opinions about what Brian and Roger have done with Paul).

Freddie = God
Paul Rodgers - Might as well be the mailman, who's trying very hard to enjoy his work , but with little result ....

TCR's is a average album, that's my opinion.  Nothing's gonna change my mind.  I'm too old to argue about this stupid shit. Paul vs freddie is the stupidest thread made by Jealous paul fans.  Queen + paul was a failure, that's a fact. all you die hard paul fans go back to where you came from, this is queen forum. The reason why I post here is for Freddie, brian, roger and John. Paul means nothing to me.  I like all types of music, and have over 300 Cd's and not one paul rodgers related CD until the TCR's.
