The quote button seems to have broken for me.

This comment is for mike hunt or whoever his name is.

Queen+Paul wasn't a failure... it was trying something different with no guarantees of permanent projects.

The album is good. Objectively. And the album is excellent. Subjectively.

To : lalaalalaala....They might have tried and some stuff might have worked.
But In my honest opinion ... The TCR is a bit of a boring album ...Compared to MANY bands I DO KNOW !
(I love quite a wide range of music)

I went to see them live in Arnhem in '05 wich was good ....to me those new tracks haven't got the right "feel" to it. for example: Radio Ga Ga ...I like the song but it doesn't have strong lyrics ...still, the song is exciting to me ....A good beat, nice bass, good vocal-work....and that brilliant Red Special ....

Tell me where can I find THAT on the TCR ?

the album is really good like strong vocals in We Believe, powerful drums in Warboys, a fun and catchy song in Call Me, ect.

I like the album a lot.  Don't hate me for that.

I don't like Call Me, it's the only song I skip when I play the album I admit.
If anyone hates you for liking the album, that says more about that person who hates you. Liking an album or not liking an album should be no reason to be hated.

well I doubt this person "thequeen" was hating me for it.  I was just saying it to be saying it :)

Thinking as a ROCK fan in general and not a Queen fan, I think "The Cosmos Rocks" is a very bland album which is why it has sold poorly despite the name recognition Queen has. I have no problem with people liking this album.

But to say that it is objectively "good" is simply ridiculous and far from the truth.

I hate no-one for liking the album ..... You know my view now and what I think about it all , right?
The 3 or 4 songs that I sort of like(d): They're quite a bit short of being memorial and playing them after
3 months or so makes me realize that this album FOR ME PERSONALLY doesn't WORK!

It was a nice try to see if they still would "have it" ....do they ? I think so .... But I don't think WITH Paul R
It sounds too much the same TO ME !

"But to say that it is objectively "good" is simply ridiculous and far from the truth."

It is a good album in my opinion.  There's no truth about it being good or bad, just opinion.

How about the dissapointed and neclected Queen fan-base.....Brian May fans,Roger fans , Paul fans ?>
They all would've bought the album ....IF it we're "good" or what ? 300.000 sales is an indication of
A faillure ....maybe not for you personally but it's below average ...the expectations didn't lived up did they ?

I usually don't care for record sales,  but their solo albums sold more than tcr.  The album itself is weak.

Well mike ...that's exactly my point ....if it actually was a good album it should've sold much more
than just the Q+PR fanbase right ? It has Brian & Roger on it .... Paul Rodgers is also on it ...clearly [/img]

Not having a professional bass player (Danny would have been fab on this record. IMO) was the biggest downfall of the record.  My mind can hear the right bass line in most of the songs, but it's not there.

The songs themselves, 4 are outstanding, and the rest are mediocre to very good.
