The community consists of a whole bunch of people. If each and every one of those is willing to change things we can do it, I'm sure of that. Can the few of us who have posted in this topic not start with this change? Why would you want to keep things as they are?
This sounds almost like communism.
100 % perfect in theory.
100 % utopia in reality.

Why on earth would I donate my rarities to a community that I don't really like that much?
What do I get in return? Uncirculated 70's footage? I don't think so.

The only thing that will happen is: toute queenzone downloading my footage, saying thanks a lot and all that
and after a month or so nothing has changed and my footage ends up being bootlegged by some japanese asshole who earns a lot of money for it.

NO THANK YOU. I'd rather sell it to Queenproductions or keep it with me forever.
You don't have to donate it all at once;-) And certainly not your most treasured stuff first(it looks like that is seventies footage:-)

But you can upload an uncirculated audio recording(if you have that, just like Bob can do that(and has done in the past). That happens all the time on dimeadozen. People who just do it because they love music, they love people who love music and want to make others happy. There's nothing communist about that.

By the way, I'm hopeful the near future will see a new seventies upload. A taper who just shares his recording out of generosity.

I believe we did some very nice trades Raf :-)
I don't think I'm among your circle of trusted people though.... I can't remember trading uncirculated Queen material actually:-)

That circle is very very small.
And you did recieve some very nice queen related masters Raf.
I don't remember you having uncirculated Queen (-related) masters at all...

It's so easy to ask for rare stuff If you can't give equally rare stuff in return. I'm not going to burn my hands on that with people outside my inner circle.

I wish I could share more rarities, but this was my only gem, I'm afraid...

I'm not asking others to share their rarities (unless they really want to!).

@Dennis: on page 1 of this thread, you said you agreed to the fact that you shouldn't expect something in return, when you share something. Still, you want something in return as you said:

"Why on earth would I donate my rarities to a community that I don't really like that much?

That's a bit contradicting, isn't it?

I don't care which people download "my" recording, really. In the end we're just all God's people who, evidently, share the same passion: Queen.

What I don't understand is that you talk about friendship but in the meantime having rare uncirculated stuff is needed to be included in the circle of friends... So, it's friendship you can buy by1)having something rare and 2) making clear you'll keep it a secret

Is that the case then?

Excuse me for being intrigued by this:-)

I just don't like the fact that Bob is playing the holy saint blaming other collectors they are hoarding while [b]he is doing the exact same thing.

If I want to share I share. If I don't want to share I don't. Just like Bob is doing .
End of discussion.

He doesn´t share cos he said I´m 33% the reason why he doesn´t share things here, don´t you remember?with his attitude towards anything it seems I´m not the person he has problems with and for him and his "followers" attacking me the other day on certain thread I tell you Mar del Plata 81 recording and Rosario 81(which I made many efforts trying to contact somebody from that city during these years and may be I could get it one day)will never see the light here nor some other boots from Brian and Roger that are not that rare but were never here,if I feel like doing it one day,I will do anywhere or on the HUB,where there is a true peaceful and friendly community and to "some" people that said I have 96kb/s and only youtube rips I will surely send Mar del Plata(half of the show at 64kb/s)

About the material I have wich I did not tape myself: if the taper in person sold me his masters and told me I could do with it whatever I liked (hoarding it included!) I'm fully permitted to do with it whatever I like. Even though I did not tape the particular show myself.
That really says it all.  You'd rather have nobody else hear a recording that you didn't tape if it meant you might get something else for yourself.  This is what makes your type of Queen collectors stand alone from the rest of the larger collecting world.
You are doing exactly the same Bob. Why don't you upload the Brussels masters you recently recieved? And how about your silent 8 mm masters? Don't blame people behaving a certain way if you are doing the exact same thing. That's very hypocrite.
Just because you don't have them doesn't mean I'm hoarding them from everyone else.

Think about that one long and hard before trying to demonize me on a forum where I've shared 10x more than you have.  And it would help if you told the entire story as it actually happened:

I offered these few things to you in trade, all of which you declined because you didn't want to part with any of your gems in return.  You made up excuses about being forced to promise not to trade your recordings, but it's a blatant lie and you know it.  The recordings I asked for are fair game with no restrictions.  The only restrictions are the ones you have chosen to impose all on your own.
I do have a BIG problem with you telling other collectors who hoard what to do.
I'm not telling anyone what to do.  I just find it a bit unfair that you reject trade offers for recordings like this one from Leiden 86, yet you download them when they're shared here and you give nothing back.  Something you taped a few years ago is not giving back, and it is certainly no huge feat when dozens (or even hundreds) of people are at every show taking pictures and recording with their cell phones and mini-disc recorders.

Thirty years ago, however, few people had the equipment (never mind being able to bring the gear inside, as it was generally much bigger), nor did they have the money to spend on blank tape, as that cost about 5x as much as your ticket.  And they didn't have the internet to quickly make contact with other collectors.  Today it's virtually impossible for a recording to fall into obscurity like it easily could back then.  Tracking down one of these people now and getting their tapes out there is of far more value, as a piece of history is being located, preserved, and shared.  No matter who taped it, a recording from 2005 does not compare to someone liberating a 30-year-old tape of a band in their prime.  Of course you know this.  This is why you chose to share a 2005 recording instead of something that's much older with historical value.

How's this for an idea?  You share your Rotterdam 78 silent 8mm video, and I'll share my Montreal 77 silent 8mm video.  Next you share your Hague 74 audience recording, and I'll share alternate sources of every 1980s Brussels concert (12-12-80, 12-13-80, 4-22-82, 4-23-82, 8-24-84, 9-21-84, and 6-17-86).  THEN everyone wins.
That circle is very very small.
And that circle is a very limited one, so you're only deluding yourself if you think you and your few friends have the monopoly over every Queen tape that has ever existed.

You of all people should finally give something back after downloading 300+ recordings for free.  Offering crumbs from an audience recording is not the way to go, especially when a radio broadcast exists.  Until you have something of substance to offer, just shut up and stop wasting webspace on drivel that nobody wants or needs to hear.

and you that you are an expert critic of Queen shows quality why don´t you either:

1)thank the person that generously posted it here.
2)share a better version yourself cos apart from attacking people I´ve never seen a post with something you give.
3)buy a Delorean and travel back to 1986 and record it yourself with excellent quality from the 1st row?

LET PEOPLE CONTRIBUTE!
