Yara has said none of the bands mentioned have any input to the musical world, but as the names pile up, it's her/him who looks dumb.

Not really. She's just making a point that's too subtle for you to understand, probably because her vocabulary is wider than yours and doesn't include words like "shit" or "dumb".

The funny thing is that all those artists claiming to be influenced by Queen doesnt sound ONE BIT as them, they simply cant write music at that level, green day, kate perry and pink? hahah what a joke. You can hear a lot more Queen influence in TM than any of those shitty artists.

I think the stuff Tommy Shaw wrote in Styx is the closest to sounding like Queen

I dont know who that is so ill check it out.

you don't know who the styx are?...oh my lord.  Queenzone is truly a joke.  The cars took some ideas from Queen with the chorus of "my best friends girl"

Yeah, Freddie had an awsome set of lungs!  A lot of people wonder what the heck his daaaooos were, but of
course it was his way of reaching the fans.  His voice was super powerful and I think it was a fun way of being
interactive with the audience.
Yeah, I was wondering too but I just laughed it off.

And just for the record, denying that MCR is emo is just like denying Lamb Of God is metalcore. Most Lamb Of God fans don't admit it, but LOG is metalcore bullshit.

MCR is emo. Don't care what they say. I've read a few comments from MCR fans saying "it's not emo, it's ART ROCK" (on YouTube, of all places) and I just have to laugh.

Don't get me wrong, I have the Black Parade CD and I've seen them live a couple of times. It's a good album and I can definately hear the Queen and Brian May influence in "Welcome to the Black Parade". That's the closest an emo band will get to doing quality music. And "Helena". Man, that's another great song by them. I love it.

Still, they are emo. They sport the emo look, they write emo-type lyrics, etc.

About Green Day. That's another band playing their style of music to their target audience and just coming up with a great and very ambitious (concept?) album with American Idiot.

They are not legendary bands but they are certainly doing more than their peers. For good or worse, those albums are those bands' own Sergeant Pepper's.

A few notches above these two I would put The Smashing Pumpkins. Mellon Collie, anyone?

I agree, Smashing Pumpkins are great and better than both bands combined. Still, metalcore sucks. Bands like Trivium and Killswitch Engage claim to be influenced by Queen and I find hints of it in their melodic interludes and breakdowns but metalcore sucks and is extremely gay(in a bad way). It ain't metal.

An idea has just occurred to me. Axl Rose might be the one to replace Paul Rodgers. Axl has all new musicians around him. The Queen guys are left just the two of them. Why not team? Great rockers together? At least for a while?

That would be INCREDIBLE!!!!! I LOVE Axl, and if he were to team up with Brian and Roger, it would be a dream come true for me!  [/img]
