What would you like in a Roger Taylor Anthology

With the rumours of Rog putting out a Best Of or Anthology or similar, I started to think on how I would like it to look. I think the most practical way of doing something like this is to follow the format of Roger Daltrey's Moonlighting - 2 discs, 18 tracks per disc, and a mix of singles, b-sides, album tracks, unreleased tracks, covers (live and studio) and live versions of Who songs.
I understand the live Who songs part completely, as it inreases the appeal to the more casual Who fan who's not interested in solo work as much. The singles are nice as they'll be the most familiar to the widest audience. Album tracks I can live without - buy the album. Covers are for fans of the original song who like to hear it reinterpereted. The rest is for the fans and completists.

So, I'll throw out the challenge - what would you like on an anthology set like this? The (admittedly arbitrary) rules are -
36 tracks
No less than 5 live Queen songs
No less than 5 A-sides from singles
No performances billed as Queen
Can be Roger solo, or Roger and The Cross

nice topic, great list! i would like to have all those greatest roger's song remastered on double cd. and i love roger version of zepp's rock and roll, it would be great to have it in cd quality, i only have that song on live bootleg, i hope soundboard recording exist. imo on that song roger is singing better than plant, perfect song for his voice

He´s got a quite similar voice than that of Rod Stewart´s.

It may be cynical of me, but don't give Roger ideas that a 36 track boxset full of live stuff will be sufficient.

I'd like a proper solo boxset like the Freddie set, full of all Rogers (and the Cross) 12", B sides, single remixes and a CD from each album literally bursting with demos and out-takes and NO live tracks!

YEAH!

If you think Cosmos Rocks (or whatever it was called) did poorly...wait until this hits the shelves. I doubt it would sell 1000 copies.

I'm also afraid Roger will have a hard time getting this anthology out... I'd definitely buy it though - bring on a deluxe edition of Fun In Space with demo's, instrumentals anytime!

I'm afraid that IF it gets released it'll be a 1 disc 18 track compilation with the singles, live versions of Ga Ga, Magic and TATDOOL + 1 or 2 new tracks.

Wouldn't sell imo. Nor would a similar project by Brian.

I would love to hear some demos from The Cross Heaven For Everyone, with both Freddie and Roger on lead.

Of course it won´t sell to general public !! but it will amongst diehard fans like us !

What will we do now ? moan because Roger has decided to do it ? please, come on  ... I´ll be happy if this is released and I will buy it.

I would be very happy with a boxset as the one with Freddie. After all, Roger made more solo dics.

No, perhaps not, but if there is one person who can't be arsed whether it sells or not, then it's Roger.

Brian is the one who's more into sales figures and the like. That's exactly the reason why we have seen some mediocre releases lately (read: the last couple of years).

Actually, I was after some thoughts on something that actually has some possibility of getting made. I'd love one like a Freddie set too, but I just can't see it happening. Too much outlay and too much risk for too little return.
