Thank You Queenman for your nice comment , if you lived near to me i would Gladly let you come and listen to the concert in its full glory , i have reduced the quality and the sound as i do not want it on the web in its true form without permission.

Why Degrade the snippets???   if it is the real deal, then I am sure that the small extracts will not piss anyone off!!!  I just think it's great when a newbie has a real gem in their hands ;-)

Hello  A Word in Your Ear

Having never been involved in any form of music sharing or Forums i am just treading lightly so to speak ,having
this for so long not being able to share without the strong arm of the law stomping down has allways worried me.
i could have sold this hundreds of times easily over the 24+ year period even before File sharing became popular but chose not to .
I only degraded the sound so i know it was my bad mix.it was only posted to
give you guys a rough idear of what the basic songs where like and not intended out of spite,and hope some
comments would come to lite and any more information about these concerts.
any suggestions what anyone else would have done in my position .

Anyway, why don't you share a snippet in which Freddie makes a reference to Sun City? I'm sure he must have greeted the audience in some original kind of way. That makes it 100% the real deal.

Yes indeed on more than one ocasion,I myself personally would never Post certain names mentioned in the concerts , purely because i beleive that is not in anyones interest at the present..
 Are you all aware that Queen had a TV advert  running for many years in S Africa advertising a certain
entertainment complex using one of there most Greatest songs,so there is huge potential in advertising for a certain
Hotel chain,and i am not willing to boost the complexes image as certain people do not agree to  the" HUGE concerts and TV payments" ,while 80% of Native people and 10% of the rest  were in Poverty,
Just a qoute from local newspaper at the time, not mine..

I'm the resident grammar police here at Queenzone.  I see your profile says that you live in England.  I must say, you have some of the worst English written language this website has ever seen.  How can you live in an English speaking country without having some better understanding of the Language?

It makes it difficult for people to believe what you say when your answers sound like something Gollum (from Lord Of The Rings) would say.

What does that mean?  On more than one occasion you haven’t posted a name?  Huh?  That doesn’t make sense in any language. 
And someone ASKED you to provide an audio clip but your answer is “that is not in anyones interest at present”.  Ummm…  he just asked you.  I would say that qualifies as an “interest” and it just happened.  So yes, it was in the past, but just recently.

You’ve NEVER been involved in any form???  Then why are you worried about “the strong arm of the law”?  How would you know they even care if you’ve NEVER BEEN INVOLVED?

Thats a bit harsh do you treat all newcomers on Queenzone like that , if anyone does not understand what i have said then i will gladly explain again , i have been as honest in my answers ,and do not understand why you are

If you took the effort in making a 'compilation snippet', I cannot see why making an even smaller snippet, in which Freddie addresses the audience, seems rocket science to you.

The best thing would be a 3-second long snippet of  Freddie shouting something like "Hello Sun City !"


If you post ANY proof, really ANY proof, I'll bet that you'll become the hero and you'll get tons of different offers from people who will offer you both money and a other Queen recordings !

Without any proof these segment can come from any concert

Thank you for all your comments good and not so good ones ,i Will do what you all seem to want ,and hope the people who run Queenzone will not mind me posting it on your Fantastic Web Site.
I contacted  outsideline on the 28-04-09 via email about this Rare Gig and was contacted by somebody called Greg Brooks who told me he was Queen's archivist and I look after the tapes, and take care of enquiries such as yours.
so i have tried to do the right thing and would love to see it released and remastered just like all the other Bootlegs
and all profits going to the apropriate Charity.
 
I will try and post it in the next few Hours ,and hope that you all understand that having something which Has had special memorys is not allways easy to let go of, and maybe one day i myself can Buy a Legal copy of this
Concert Blessed with the Knowledge that Brian,Roger,John,and Freddie wherever he is will understand that all
Queen fans will have something that has been denied to them for so long whatever the reason why.

Just getting back to a general discussion about the concerts at Sun City.

My own personal opinion is they are really nothing special at all. There is nothing
in anyway unique about the concerts there at all. Fair enough they caused alot of
controversy at the time, and Freds voice was shocking, and he ran off stage the
third night crying, but thats about it really.

Consider a recording like The Marquee '72 versus all 9(?) Sun City shows. I know
which one I would prefer in my collection.

I just consider the Sun City shows as a curiosity, because of the scandal behind them.
And if I had them, they would be listened to once, and archived on my HD. If I had
a recording like the Marquee, I would wear my system out listening to it at full volume.

This is for all the people that did see the concerts and will bring back great memorys for them.
This is for all the people that did not see the concerts due to cancellations.
This is for all the musicians & audio technicians that love a totally different mix.
This is for all the queen fans all over our small and delicate planet
This is for all the underprivileged people who did not make it to the concert.

             This is for all the members & roadcrew of QUEEN who may never have listened to this?
            
                              Please Treat this Audio with the respect it deserves .
