No on both counts. It was recorded for TV in the 70's - a HD release would be pointless. And no genuine 5.1 mix can be produced as no multitracks have ever existed for the gig. They produced a pseudo 5.1 mix for Wembley though (because they couldn't be bothered going back to the multitracks), so probabably will do it for this as well, just so they can put the pointless claim on the DVD box.

That's wonderful and absolutely exciting. Finally people will get to know in great quality a concert displaying a very different band both visually and musically - a stage in the band's journey that many people are unaware of! It's absolutely great, it's a wonderful choice, it's a great gig, what can I say? I'm enthralled! There's much the guys can tell us about this gorgeous concert.

Let's hope it sounds and looks wonderful!

Now I know why your nick is "negative creep" jjajaa... well, I dont think it will be a pointless thing to release in HD format, It wont have the montreal resolution, but it will have a Higher resolution, and it will look bbetter, there are footages that even if they were recorded on magnetics tape, it can be restored with more resolution than 720x480, the michael jackson billy jean at the motown 25 years festival for example, it was restored on hd, even if it wasnt recorded on 30mm tapes, it looks better on my 19 screen, because it seems that the tape was "rendered" at a higher resolution, so, it doesnt look "granulated" (wtf?)... well, i dont know if you understand my point but... anyways, if there is no multitrack, how they managed to remix the whole show for that 2005 radio broadcast? i dont understand...

Was the entire show filmed?

Not according to Queen Concerts - "64 minutes, professional recording. The BBC crew packed their cameras before the second encore, that's why Seven Seas Of Rhye and See What A Fool I've Been are not available on video."[/QUOTE]
No collector can know for sure what exists in the band's archives, unless they were at the show and can confirm that no cameras were running.  Stories are told and told.  The DVD will speak for itself.

Ahh yes, that's what I'd like to know as well. Especially considering when they fixed up the echoed vocals in NIH for starters...

Perhaps because they didn't? There are 2 mixes available - both of which were done on the fly on the night. I'm sure even Brian commented a couple of years ago about not being able to remix it for a possible DVD release.

Well its not impossible that they've found the multitrack - they'd have no reason to tell us!

well... maybe, but i dont think so... it is pointless to me, that they have made two completly different mixes of one show, especially considering that one sound a lot better than the other (and is better, it have the delay effect on brian´s guitar during the march of the black queen for example) , the only answer is that the masters exists, but it is damaged, I remember reading that somewhere... maybe that is the reason that the rock n roll medley is missing on the 2005 radio broadcast version...maybe know, they were able to fix the multitracks by some new baking techniques (¿?) or something... i dont know... lets just be positive, because i already know what my christmas present will be this year...

It is when one didn't exist in the first place!?

WTF? No multitracks have ever existed. 2 mixes were made live on the night - one for the radio broadcast and one for the TV broadcast. Simples. Nothing to do with being positive or negative - NO MULTITRACKS HAVE EVER EXISTED FOR HAMMERSMITH 1975. Fucking hell.

WTF? I know that your nick name is really funny, but that doesnt mean that you have the right to critizize every idea or opinion... you dont have a clue if that what youre saying is true... and if you think about it, is really non-sence that they make two mixes on one night... what for?

I do know what I'm saying is a fact as it was recorded by the BBC, who do not record to multitrack and Brian confirmed it on his website. I've already told you what the 2 different mixes were for - if you can't comprehend that, then whatever.
