I found it amusing and entertaining. I had a good time, though I found it fun how such an eventful adventure book could be turned almost into a dull romantic comedy, even dragging on here and there. I didn't mind the (over?)emphasis on the love stories of Harry/Grinny and Ron/Lavender - although sometimes irritating, which is a witness to the acting skills of the girl, the character of Lavender is better developed in the movie than in the book -  but I did miss the battle in the end, the fight at the castle, the funeral, some details about Tom Riddle's background and, well, the ending of the book! It was good enough as it was, I guess. As it happens, there's always a trade-off: the scene of the burning of the Burrow, which is not part of the book, is quite cool.

The soundtrack is really good, I kept paying attention to it - it's been really well done. My only quibble is the volume here at the theater: it was so loud! I've been having this annoying experience at movie theaters: they set the volume way too loud to my taste. It's not necessary to turn up the volume so much for me to get the thrills out of the movie.

I was thrilled by the light effects and the grayer or darker coloring. The imagery is riveting from beginning to end.

All in all, a very pleasant and fun movie.

I just watched it last night. I wanted to watch it before but I was sick for a while and I've been very busy at work laterly. Now, let's get straight to the film and let me just say that they should have changed the title to...

HARRY POTTER AND THE RAGING TEENAGE HORMONES

WOW!! Tons of moments of sexual tension in this film, but I have to admit that they did make the movie more entertaining. Is it me or there were some kinda of too straight forward sexual innuendos coming from Cormac McLaggen when he was fancing Hermione?

Overall, a pretty damn good film which could well be the best of the series. The only thing that annoyed me was Bellatrix Lestrange, and I don't know if that's the true nature of the character or the way how Helena Bonham Carter is portraying her, but that must be one of the most fuckin' annoying villains on any series. While Snape is one of the coolest villains ever, for being mysterious and slick, Bellatrix Lestrange is just fuckin obnoxious.

They won't be that longer anyway. But it works as a marketing strategy, no doubt. In the end, it's 7 minutes of deleted scenes! It's not like they were taking huge chunks of the book which had been left out and putting it into the new release, so...I think it doesn't make much difference anyway. Though it works as a way to get people into buying the Blu-rays - it's hard to get people to buy films, especially Blu-ray discs: many people feel that there's no point in owning the movie once you watched it already. But if it's a movie which has its own fan base, so to speak, and its makerting is appealing, many people end up buying it, though.

Funny thing is how cheaper - and how fast is the process - these products get once they start being selled as "used": many films I enjoy I bought this way for a ridiculously low price!
