Did you mean all these in the first post?
Actually, the one is empty:)
But the album is great by all means

I never get tired of listening to the wonderful "Ogre Battle-Fairy Feller's-Nevermore-Black Queen" sequence ... tremendous !!
the world needs a new 5.1 mix for this album, Brian (ahem ... and Rog) !!!

thanks for the answers i to think that Queen2 should be realsed in 5.1

Seven Seas of Rhye was probably the first song I fell in love with.  I heard Bo Rhap, WWRY, WATC, and stuff like that, but SSOR put me over the top for some odd reason.

i really l o v e  the treatment of 'White Queen' on the 77-US-tour. The recording of the Seattle gig for me is THE musical highlight of the 70s queen-bootlegs. perfection by any means.

and yes... a 5.1 mix was really nice, indeed !
i cannot share the opinion that 'loser in the end' is only average.
man, this tune rocks like hell.

I LOVE this incredible album.
Sure, for me is first or second on my top lst.

One doubt: Why The March of The Black Queen was never played live complete...I mean, it only appears in "those" meddleys???

Well .... I´d say this is one of their most ellaborated songs in terms of orchestrations, choruses, change of tempos .... quite difficult to recreate live .... except for the part they actually did !

I honestly don't understand what people see in 5.1 mixes. Give me a good stereo-mix any day of the week. QII could do with a *good* revisiting of the master tapes, though.

yes, but many Queen songs are quite ellaborated, and they usually played them in a more "rock" sound.
Anywayy Queen II is always a pleasure to listen to.

Additionally it's worth noting that Queen II is cited by many Rock musicians as their favourite Queen album, including Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Dream Theater, Muse and no end of others. I still can remember listening to it for the first few times in a darkened room on an old radiogram, that's for our older readers...

Queen 2 would probably be the most perfect Queen album, if it didn't contain The Loser In The End - surely one of Queen's worst tracks.  It just totally ruins the flow of the album, and I always miss it out to keep the overall mood going?

I've always wondered whether the rest of the band, plus Roy Thomas Baker, privately agreed with this?  Can't help feeling they must have!!  They really should have said "it's a B-side, Rog" and let Brian write another classic to finish the side.

Still, perhaps all great albums have their "Within You Without You" moment ?  [/img]
