It's not near my personal list of my favourite Queen albums but it's ok to listen to occasionally

Lalaalalaa, you're right in that everyone has their own opinion - although everyone I know thinks The Loser In The End sucks big time :))
The point however was not that it's a crap song, it's that it doesn't fit with the rest of the album - whether you like the song or not.
And that isn't a matter of opinion - it's fact!!

People's ears enjoy different things so it will be an opinion no matter what you say. I think The Loser In The End fits with the album quite nicely. It kind of makes the transition from May's material to Mercury's. I wish John wrote something for the album. That would have been interesting.

In my opinion Queen never recorded an album anywhere near as good as London Calling maybe my Avatar gives it away.

Does anybody know where I can find a Clash forum? So I can tell the Clash fans my opinion about my favourite Wham album.
Queen II has the best sleeve of all Queen albums.

I have to say the Loser in the End is a great track......kind of like Modern Time Rock N Roll from Queen 1 -Roger's voice comes in soaring....and it just picks eveything up....some of the guitar work on there is great too....would have loved to hear it live...similar to an earlier post, I thought it was a great transition from the Brian songs to the Freddie songs...

surprised people aren't commenting much regarding Funny How Love Is.....ridiculously repetitive....and really pure filler....I'm thinking that they had 3 extra minutes or so they needed to cram in....just a really boring song in my opinion...and nothing musically

I actually love Funny How Love Is and don't really understand why it gets slammed as filler and a weak song. I'm not saying everyone should like it, but I sure do. I love the crescendo at the end of Black Queen cross-fading into Funny and how it holds there, soaring, for two and half minutes before fading out. Then The Seven Seas Of Rhye's piano rocks in.
When I hear Funny How Love Is, I picture Freddie backlit and silhouetted from the side, surrounded by shadow, and singing, head up and fist to the sky, with the light glinting off his metal microphone stand.
It's a powerful song for me! Maybe because I grew up listening to '50s and '60s rock and roll, including Phil Spector-produced songs that sound like FHLI, that I really like this number.

I think Funny How Love Is is a bit too long. Doesn't mean it's bad though. I like it.

funny how love is is a good song, it fits the black side perfectly. Loser in the end still sucks though. The only bad song on queen2.
