....how 'bout Them Crooked Vultures??  Really excited about that one!
Wow wow wow !!! Didn´t know about them !

Josh Homme, Grohl and John Paul Jones ?? can´t wait ....
I am really hoping for a tour.  I would SO love to see Dave playing drums! :-)   And yeah Ken, I wish Brian and Roger would collaborate with Dave/Foos, too.  Have A Cigar kicks ass!  I love Goodbye Lament and Tired Of You, as well.

If Brian, Roger, and the Foos put together a supergroup... Oh man! I would kill to see that!

It's actually worse than bad: it's embarassing.

Pay attention, close attention to Surf's Up. It's serious stuff. It's way worse than being I don't know how many degrees and being called "Mr. Fahrenheit". The guy is 80 and all he can do is give you these lyrics?

Delilah alone is better than the whole album. There was some dignity to Delilah. The guy actually composed a song for the kitten he loved and managed to make it sound as if she were singing it. I came to appreciate Delilah's concept over time.

But The Cosmos Rock will forever tarnish Queen's beautiful and important legacy.

Hi Yara, nice to read you again :)

All oppinions are respected, of course. And I understand there´s a lot of people giving much importance to the lyrics. Surf´s Up annoys you; I, musically, can´t stop enjoying it.

I´m on the side of those don´t giving relevance to the use of the name "Queen" in TCR. My reaction would have been the same if they called themselves "Potato+Paul Rodgers". Music is what matters to me. And I like the music delivered in TCR, wich doesn´t belong to "Queen´s beautiful and important legacy", as the Queen I leant to love since I was 8 years old in 1984 ended with MIH. The rest, NOBY included, is "of course another story", although labelled as Queen too, fact that I don´t really care.

ps: I love Delilah, too !!

He. Hi, Vali! Thanks!

Oh...I was playing around a bit. I don't think the album is that bad in fact. Though I do think that the lyrics spoil the potential musical fun sometimes and, yes, I expected more not really from "Queen", but from these great musicians: Paul, Brian and Roger. The line about the legacy was a silly joke, it's just that I lost count of how many times I argued against this kind of thing so I tried to do the opposite to chill out. Hehehe.

I see no Delilah in TCR. That kind of creativity. I used to hate Delilah. But when the obvious fact that the song was about a kitten and had to be as campy as possible dawned on me, I came to appreciate it - it's creative. The song has an affected whismical effeminate mood that I can easily relate to a kitten. It's simple, maybe silly, but works, it's fun and creative.

I'm honest about it: I don't like the album. But I don't think it's that bad either.

I'm happy you enjoy it. I wished I could say the same. There's something about this album which I just can't relate to - maybe it's the lyrics, maybe it's more than that, but...well...that's it. lol

Not much to say.

Take care,
Yara.

It seemed to "charity/change the world" oriented to me. But thats just the way the lyrics came across in my mind.

It deserves a 4 out of 10 IMO.

I'm one who disagreed with them still using the Queen name, but that's what really baffles me.  How could a collaboration of those three rock legends come up with something so lacking, or more pertinently, out of touch?

If they must carry on I reckon they need some fresh blood along the lines of a Grohl.  What worries me about teaming up with someone like Adam Lambert is, what input to the music would someone like him have?  Sure, the kid can sing but the whole thing starts to look like the Judas Priest scenario that they made into a movie.

What makes me laugh by comparison is Van Halen's current philosophy.  What songs for the setlist?  Ask Wolfie.  What other artists for Guitar Hero V.H.?  Ask Wolfie.

Time for Brian & Roger to start bouncing a few ideas off the kids perhaps!

For Me the album was alot like Venus and Mars by Wings, I heard a few songs from it that I really liked and then i got it and thoses turned out to be the only REALLY good songs on it. Spirits Of Ancient Egypt is a good Denny Laine Vocal and Medicine Jar are good songs on it. This is the way I felt a bout TCR. I thought it was far too overhyped for what the contents actually held... Enjoyable if youre in the right mood though.

Return of the champions is better than Cosmos!!! but i think this point don't count, because in return of the champions the musics are of Queen, and not made by "Q+PR" or "HALF QUEEN+PR"!!!

The Queen+Paul Rodgers name was pointless to begin with. They Should have called it The Cross+The Man Of Fire!

They could've been honest like Pink Floyd and called the album Momentary Lapse in Reason.

Chickenfoot kicks ass. Satriani, Chad Smith, Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony? Come on. Hope they work more in the future like Zeppelin did or unlike QPR!
I still have to check out chickenfoot,  I'll check it out soon.....  As far as TCR, it's a weak album. Some here are saying it gets better with time, I disagree, for me it's gotten even worse.  The song "small" I liked when I first heard it, but now I find it boring like the rest of the album.  TCR makes hot space seem brilliant.

excatly,  when I first heard delilah I thought it was horrible,  but being an animal lover, and sentimental at times it was only natural the song would grow me, and that it did. I like the song.

Funny, you'd have thought the album sold well the way you're talking about it.
Is half a million sales bad? I'm not quite sure any more.
It is when you consider that illegal downloading definetely does affect sales these days.

Yes because nobody downloaded any album other than "TCR" apparently..........
