Blackmore before Page, perhaps even before Brian. I also think that it's a bit stepford to call him "Dr." when discussing his music.
Page and Hendrix, combined, and even with supernatural powers... can´t play 1% of what Satriani, Vai, Becker... and other 580.876.976 guitarists can play...

You just made them two the most under and under and under-rated guitarist ever...
Top Ten Guitarists Ever?
I suppose we're talking about Rockguitarists,
if not I don't think many of them will be on the list....
For me it's about playing with much feeling/emotions and good melody too.
So Brian May, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, ...Bettencourt I'd like to add.. are there...
I'm afraid I cannot see Mr Vai or Satriani there. I consider them just as guitar teachers playing scales.
Pete Townsend??? The Who is the most overrated band anyway along with Coldplay, Oasis,..
When feeling/emotions are not important, but to play fast
then we talk about Mr Vai, Satriani, Kilminster,...
My top 10:
Jeff Beck
Brian May
Mark Knopfler
Eric Clapton
Gary Moore
David Gilmour
Ritchie Blackmore
Nuno Bettencourt
Steve Howe
John Fogerty

a little desorganized!
Eric Clapton.
anyone who says brian is a better guitarist than hendrix is a steford to me. Brian might make the top ten. It's all opinions, but brian isn't at #2. He's my personal favorite, only because freddie and brians style mixed so perfectly. Even though he's my personal favorite I'm not gonna say he's the best of all time. My problem with brian is that so many people see Queen as freddie mercury. brian gets over shadowed. Did hendrix get over shadowed?...how about page?..how about richards?.....A guitarist who is a definite top 3 doesn't get over shadowed for anyone. That's why I have a problem putting Mr. may in the top 10.
Larry Carlton? John McLaughlin? Carlos Santana? Robert Johnson?
After Brian (of course) my next three favourites are:
Slash
Ace Frehley
Richie Sambora
It's all about variety to me, rather than who plays the fastest or the loudest. It's all personal opinion any way, so nobody is right or wrong.

Lindsey Buckingham
David Gilmour is a favourite of mine.
Also this guy sure can play the ass off most of them. This is a before-video. Before he turned into a monster.

Great feeling, super-vocals.
