What multitracks are out there?

That's the beauty of multitracks. Put them all in a DAW, and it's like watching how the different parts of the human body work. And stuff like the alternate vocal takes. It's like listening to the song for the first time.

He wasn't credited, but as far as I know, he did play them both (alto and tenor, IIRC).

As for 'Under Pressure', when Bowie died Roger's techie posted something about him (Bowie) recording a sax part for 'Cool Cat' a day or so after the 'People on Streets' session. My theory: he may have misremembered (it was 35 years later anyway) and the sax was actually for 'People on Streets' (later renamed 'Under Pressure') instead.

Sorry, my mistake re the sax on ATD. Misread and misremembered something from another site. Didn't think it was a synth at all, so should have questioned that before I made my hasty point.

Your theory makes sense Seb, though I could easily imagine the sax parts on UP, being so minor, had been missed/forgotten about by the techie. And I could equally easily imagine some sax parts on Cool Cat which, on the face of it, would seem a more natural home for that instrument than UP.

Bob, I remember David Richards talking about the UP 'Classic Queen mix'. That version dates from the original mixing sessions of the song.

Also: interesting. I wonder why they did two mixes? Before and after May left the sessions? There's considerably less guitar on the latter.

A bit of an history. In 2008, an unusual set of "legit" Queen multitracks started surfacing with collectors. Four of them were somehow leaked on a familiar torrent site, and have since appeared on a lot of sites. Brian May previously showed off the Bohemian Rhapsody multitrack for a 2003 DVD extra, so it made sense that the matching set of tapes surfaced online years after it was released.

During this period, Killer Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody were the most common as for some reason Brighton Rock and Get Down Make Love were also leaked.

It stayed the same for a long time, with compiled mixes of those surfacing and those for We Are The Champions and We Will Rock You were issued to promote the News Of The World 40th anniversary box set. In 2019, two songs (We Are The Champions and Stone Cold Crazy) were publically leaked, and some months later Fat Bottomed Girls and Under Pressure were also leaked, with Under Pressure missing the intro, fading from the first lines after 7 seconds of tape noise. What will be next?

Well those are the stems. I wanna get my hands on those multis, if only to hear, and mess around with the synths and keys a little more.

Anyone have an updated mega folder with multi tracks? I'd love to mess with other songs besides from that one mega folder.
