TC, it's great that you are here again! Hope everything's good with you now... Hope to find some more info from you about Queen multitracks.

You got anything decent or just being a cock tease?

"Ah, but think of it like this: it could've been "Cool Cat". Or "Party". This is the point where we start counting our blessings."
Geez, sometimes I feel like the only person on the planet who digs Cool Cat. Everyone else seems to think it's garbage. :(
I would gladly hand over Dragon Attack and any of the other full Queen sessions I have for even the bounced stems of CC. haha

Cool Cat is an obscure song, yes. But it's not garbage at all. It's a wonderful piece of music with incredible great falsetto singing by FM. And it's better without DB on it for sure...
You can find several covers on YouTube of this song, which means its popularity among fans and musicians... So you're not alone for sure. :)
BTW, does anyone ever noticed that 'Hot Space' LP Side B label of original pressing still features incorrect running time for final album mix but it's correct for withdrawn mix with DB.
TC, is it possible for you to share here rough mixes from multitracks of 'Fat Bottomed Girls' and 'Under Pressure' ? Thanks.

"Cool Cat" is one of those songs that make Queen interesting outside their hits. Plenty of goodness to enjoy in it when approached with the proper mindset.

That's pretty telling! They were absolutely going to put that version on the album and the decision not to was taken at the last minute, definitely at Bowie's behest. Probably for the better though, since it doesn't steal the thunder from "Under Pressure" by having him collaborating on another track in the same album.

I hope you're just being ironic and not knocking the guy nice enough to share an actual, previously unavailable Queen song mix.
Perhaps if everyone was friendlier here we'd get to listen to more such gems. I'd hate to think a little bit of assholery, whether intentional or not, is enough to keep people away.

If I had the multitrack recording of Dragon Attack (or anything not widely available) I would prove it by posting maybe an isolated bit of guitar or vocal or just something that isn't a 'nearly' mix of the actual track. I'm not quite calling BS because he got that mix from somewhere but the full multi? I don't think so. I will be the first to apologise if proved wrong.

It's interesting to hear that it confirms it's the same loop played all the way through. Great thread everyone.

How do you like your humble pie served buddy?
The session is definitely missing some things. I need to open the ptf and see what's going on. Solo bass track doesn't kick in until half way through the session.
drums are submixed with bass track listed as "bt L/R" backing track?
I just made this mixdown from my work laptop with Audacity. All dry multitracks, dropped out a few things to isolate instruments. I'll try to make one for FBG when time permits.
If anyone has info on this particular session let me know. As an engineer I love breaking these down to study.
Is this from the 5:1 version of The Game? Dunno if that's been asked previously.

No, a 5.1 rip would not have time code tracks.

Thanks a lot for the new mix! Truly another gem that I appreciate very much and hopefully others too. When possible, please post more!

Considering it features unused percussion, unedited tracks, unfiltered vocals and unused Freddie bits, it couldn't possibly be. I also checked the DVDA's 5.1 source just to be perfectly sure of every detail, and I can confirm this is the real deal beyond a shadow of a doubt.

For anyone that wants info on the Dragon Attack session here's some useful links https://brianmay.com/queen/thegame/briansnotes3.html

The reason the solo bass track doesn't kick in straight away is because the main bass is in the stereo bounce. And the solo bass is obviously John adding bits here and there to the track. Apparently the main body of this song came from a jam session where part of it was looped which is evident when you listen to it. I'd imagine the session you have TC is the way the final multitrack is supposed to be.
