When I was listening to the narrative by Brian and Roger on the DVD. Brian has said that what the band didn't know was the crowd at the venue were told that they couldn't stand up and also dance about and I think that pissed off the crowd a bit.. It has also been quoted that the crew filming the show had pissed off Freddie and the rest of band and Freddie getting his own back on the second night came out in shorts which means that it screwed up the continual to make it look as if it was all one show.

Great concert and DVD, but like you said the crowd was told by security that they had to remain calm and seated in their seats. There would be no getting over excited. Not much fun for concert goers.

That can't be true, Mrs. Bad Guy. You mean to tell me that concertgoers from Canada actually listen to the authorities?
I guess we need to show them how to sneak in weed and booze. No wonder their big stars are Celine Dion, Bryan Adams, and Rush.
Give me The Stones, a hooch, and a pint of Tanqueray and I'll show you one bad-ass show!!!

I have the 'Queen Rock Montreal & Live Aid' Blu Ray, and it really is fantastic. Looks amazing, too. :)

I recently got this DVD. I'd rate it slightly higher than Live at the Bowl! It's their best live-to-video/DVD concert in my opinion.

I had the DVD, then I bought the Bluray so if anyone needs the DVD they can have my copy. PM me

Don't forget to bring your gun too Microwave...in case anyone pisses you off . That's how all you Texan's, or should I say war loving Americans? That's how you deal with conflict right? Shoot now and ask questions later?

Candian audiences are notoriously laid back. It freaks artists out sometimes, but it has nothing to do with how much fun is being had. I can't watch a rock concert sitting down, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be spending much time using my own voice to scream over the voices and music of the people I've paid to hear and see.
I think it was a number of things with the audience on this DVD (which I have on Blu-ray...love love love). The Canadian thing, plus I read that the original mix on We Will Rock You had the audience mixed low which started a bit of a meme for this crowd being listless, the front rows' awareness of the cameras perhaps, the mild agression of the band because of the backstage stuff, and the band's expectations after just coming back from South America and having the audience singing every word along with them.
Billy Bob Thornton and his band actually had to leave the country last year when he called Canadian audiences 'mashed potatoes with no gravy' on a live CBC Radio One show broadcast across North America. People came down on him so hard him they cancelled the remaining dates and went home pretending to be sick. The video made it's way around extensively back then, but if you haven't seen/heard it and want to see Billy Bob Thornton being a stunning and hilariously lame douche bag just because the interviewer mentioned his acting career in the intro (something he brings up himself all the time in interviews!) you must check this out. If you do get to the end of it, be sure to check out the video response from Radio Three. Way funny.
Where can I get this DVD??? Sounds like a "must have".[/QUOTE]

Yes, that's what we do for fun. Shoot people. Good one.
Speaking of which, I'd love to go to a concert with you. Is Celine Dion in town?

No. You were right. It tastes just like real food. But I don't have to butter my hips just to get thru the doorway anymore. How's that going for you, phat fattie?
