Does anybody ever get tired of Queen (from time to time, of course)?  If not, why not?  And if so, why?  And if you always come back (which I assume is all of us), what brings you back?

Not shameful at all.  I hope your enthusiasm for Queen lasts for many years to come!  And I'm sure it will!

I never get tired of Queen... probably the only band that I can't get tired of from time to time!

Well, I've been a die hard for about 7 years, and I reach points where I get away from Queen and listen to some other stuff to bring back some freshness in their music.  I still talk about them everyday, haha, but I allow myself more freedom in order to appreciate their music even more (if that makes sense).

I just turned the big 60, and never tire of Queen. It is not only that they were/are top drawer at their art but that they recorded so many genres of music. You just don't listen to a Queen album and feel like you have been inundated in variations on the same theme. It seems to me that the glue that always makes Queen recognizeable despite their various adventures in material is the combination of Freddie's voice and Brian's guitar, with Brian's guitar being as much a trademark as a Harley-Davidson motorcycle's oink.

Occasionally I do venture briefly into other territory but am soon back to Queen, and usually with great relief. I guess they are the music of my comfort zone.

Well, I don't get tired of Queen, but I don't listen to them everyday either. These days I try to explore more of other music. I think it would be boring to listen to the same band everyday. But once in a while it's so nice to put Queen record and I feel like coming home. :)

No, I never get bored of Queen.
I've been following them since 1974 and their music has always been a part of me since then.
Sometimes I don't play their music for a short while (because of all the other music I like and play) but then I make time to play their catalogue from Queen, Queen II onwards. Or I just pick an album or various songs, depending on my mood. I've copied all songs onto my harddisk and select tracks to play as a set.

When I need a kind of boost I mostly start with News Of The World and play it LOUD. Sames goes for JAZZ. I really "understood" the quality of JAZZ years after it's release. It's an album to play LOUD !
I can easily turn to Roger's songs as well. Brian has some great tracks as well, solo, but they does not come up in my mind to play at first.
But there's always time to listen to Queen. Even in "repeat" mode! :-)
I had no idea back in the seventies that 30 years later the songs would sound as fresh as when I first heard them.
But they do. Amazing.
