With the lack of any new material (of any worth), I'm certainly tiring of Queen
Must be said that CR exceptionally disappointing as was the tour - which, in my opinion, was the first 'Queen' tour where there had been no progress from previous outings
Now in my mid-40's, I DO wish I could live some moments again:
1st Queen album (NOTW) - discovering an unexpected and awsome talent in Freddie Mercury (who I'd previously dismissed as a Robet Plant wannabe, in my teenage wisdom!)-
eagerly waiting for Jazz and feeling totally let-down (I Do see some worth in the album now but then it was just paper-thin drums and weak songs..)
first tour (Crazy Tour - Glasgow) - realising that nobody could hold a candle to Queen stage presence - ears ringing for days!
Buying Live Killers the day it came out and running home to play...
HATING them for Hot Space but loving the tour
Loving the Works but hating them for a limited-stop tour
Taping every clip on TV
I'm sure many are familiar with the rest
Have to say though, I AM tired of Queen these days. Wish FM was still here and they had the work ethos of RUSH
Dont like these tacky re-issues, art with a capital F. Wish they had ditched DoRo and made some proper vids.....
Wish the later songs had better lyrics and actually meant something
Had a ramble - off to bed
Sorry to bore[/QUOTE]
Not boring at all. Makes a lot of sense.

Queen are always a part of the music I listen too, but what I do drift in and out of is my Queen 'hobby', collecting etc. I have a couple of hobbies and tend to rotate them, so I might collect alot of Queen, then lose interest for a while, then come back to it. When I not into Queen I mainly do geneology.

i don't play queen as much as i used to. mind you i don't play a hell of a lot of anything, although i go thru' stages.i tend to use my mp3 player mostly.
i don't bother watching music video shows anymore either. the reason is i rarely see/hear anything i like.
so my collection is mostly older classic rock stuff, which can get a little boring unless i'm very much in the mood.
just trying to think of the last band i got into? probably fleet foxes, but that was a few years ago now.

Queen is the one thing I will never get tired of.
Been a fan since... ever? 28 years now. I have Queen playing at least once a day since I was born. I remember november 24/25th 1991 very clearly and I was about 8 yrs old then. Played Queen non-stop for a month or so. That was the peak of my passion and it had just grown. Now is more like love. As in marriages.
There is a phrase in a book called Freddie and Me (a comic book written by a fan) that is "When I think of Queen I can remember my whole life" and that's so true.
Queen gave me so many different records, songs and everything. It's quite impossible to get tired. When you get tired of AKOM you have SHA. And you have Jazz. You have Innuendo. You have Queen related and solo stuff. So much diversity.
Sometimes I get tired of the Beatles and take a break from them. But Queen, oh no.
Queen is everlasting. My grandchildren will be listen to it for sure.

Never, Queen do very brilliant and cool music. I heard a lot of bands in my life and Queen is one of the better, if not the best.
Those days i like a lot of bands, but Muse are the only in the level of Queen. I'm not saying i only heard Queen, The Strokes, Coldplay, Triana (A spanish band), u2 (I prefer the old u2), Foo Fighters.... and a lot more
I love the music, and Queen is the royalty of the music!!!

I'm not tired of Queen. I'm tired of Brian and Roger doing nothing about releasing vintage Queen dvds.
If they put their egos aside, they could get the Q+PR - PR lineup together, tour theaters, and play the songs that they wrote and sang on Queen lps and some of the songs that they wrote, but Freddie sang. A couple of Freddie songs to round out the setlist would give them plenty of songs to play.

Never! Actually, in all honesty, Wayne's World kicked me off on the road, and first couple of times I listened to Bo Rhap I couldn't believe a song could be so glorious and tremendous! Seriously, I went through a phase that lasted about seven months where I made it my mission to listen to Bo Rhap three times a day without fail! Fan of the band since 2007 and proud of it!!!!! Now my listens of Bo Rhap have lessened to about once a week, maybe even less, but only to experience more awesome Queen material, but I have another life musically, so I'm not a 'daily-dose-of-Queen-or-I'll-explode' person. Ocassionally I will venture into other places. Recently I've been listening to a lot of The Clash, Jimi Hendrix and Blondie. Another direction for me is an utter life-long love (for as long as I can remember) - The Carpenters! You may be wondering "Why would any Queen fan go for the mellowness of the Carpenters?" Reason being, Karen Carpenter's voice is a crystal lullaby! And for those people who think they're a soft and mellow group, listen to Goodbye to Love - Tony Peluso's (R.I.P.) guitar solo in the middle could make him near enough rival Brian! Click this link for proof! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdG-ITxL8ok
And for those of you who admire Karen, click this link for a very interesting mix... [cue suspenseful music]

Some will think its sacrilege, but its a wonderful tribute, including the way they've mixed the track within my reason.

BradJarre wrote: My exact thoughts.
He sung the last lines of Mother Love about 3(?) weeks before he died..... It is one hell of a performance.
I mean, i am a healthy(well a bit overweight) boy and even i cant sing that line without going out of breath or cracking my voice..
Let me correct you here, there is NOONE sick or healthy , that could replicate that. Even though he was sick , that line in mother love is STILL untoucheble. The guy WAS magic.
For me , Queen is the ultimate band. They are what i call complete musicians that was not limited into one style, they did various different styles and made them in my oppinion better than others. Many think beatles , led zepplin etc is the best but i think they have nothing against queen and freddie.
Freddie was music.

I've never grown sick of Queen or any of their related works (Smile, solo albums, etc.) in the 20-some years I've been a fan, but there are periods when I'm not listening to them regularly. Inevitably, they work their way back into greater rotation. Sometimes, I'll be into a new album by another artist, or reacquainting myself with another band I like, or I just don't have time to listen to much of anything.
In the end, and this is true of many of the bands and artists I like, after a bit of time away, coming back brings a renewed appreciation for the work, like running into an old friend and having a drink together.

Being into Queen since about 1986 - can't imagine listening to Queen I through to The Works piecemeal. Bit like starting a novel on chapter 3 :-)

Hey I'm 15 too so you're not alone dude.
I do sometimes not so much get sick of queen as sort of forget about them. I go off and explore other artists or genres etc. But no matter what, within about 3 months I'm back. I don't know what it is but whenever I go away and come back, I switch on some Queen and it blows me away EVERY time. Freddie's voice has become so familiar to me know, its like listening to my brother or someone like that. The sound is the most phenomenal thing though. Thats what got me liking Queen in the first place. They're just so distinctive. There's no mistaking Freddie's voice or Brian's guitar sounds. There's no mistaking the wall of sound, so richly textured and varied that seems to define the Queen sound. I think that's what always brings me back to Queen, the fact that now that I know something like Queen exists, I can go off for a month or two and listen to someone like Bon Jovi or Journey but I always get bored of hearing the same old genre done the exact same way over and over again. Queen were just so varied and diversely talented.
