Had a great Night with KISS performing in Hamburg!
They rocked the house for more than 2 hours, including all the usual special effects.
I just wished they would have changed the setlist a little bit more, I think only 6 songs were different to the alive 35 tour.
One of the Highlights was the very first performance of BETH by Eric Singer, joined by acoustic guitars.
Here is the youtube link to this performance:

I saw the video earlier today.
Loved the fact that their performance of "Beth" was a major bitch slap to Peter Criss.
Paul Stanley smiling, thinking "Peter who"?
LOL
They did a good job with the song. That was the first time "Beth" was sung in tune.

They look like a gang of transvestite buskers.

They may look like a gang of Transvestites, but they kick much more ass than Queen + Paul Rodgers...sorry to say that as I am a much bigger Queen than Kiss fan, but it's the truth.

its not insulting to say to that at all because paul rodgers is terrible,
brian+roger > Q+pr, it is a very simple fact that their shows have been humbly better than to, you know? paul rodgers is a passanger.

Well...after having compared the setlists Skip posted I realize that they have changed 9 songs and there is no need to complain. Bought the show as mp3 on a USB stick after the gig...can't wait to hear that tonight!

Okay, this is going to be a very rare occasion where I talk about KISS seriously as if it's actually a serious subject. Which it's so not. LOL But credit where credit is due - Beth is a good song which has deserved to survive as it has. And that linked "in tune" version was the most souless thing I've ever heard, complete with the souless gestures of a performer who doesn't or can't connect to the material. Zero emotion in a song that lives or dies by it. I'd take ANY nuanced out of tune Peter Criss version that wasn't a complete wreck over that on any day of any week. Complete fail on one of their only songs that actually deserves to be treated with some respect. "Peter who?" my ass, Paul Stanely (who, coincidentally, is also an ass).

HE KEEPS LOOKING AT THE FLOOR. WHICH MEANS HE'S READING LYRICS FROM THERE.
HAHAHAHA. Jeeze. Apart from that... Sounds like everybody enjoyed it. Big crowd response.

Unbeliveable. And good catch by the way. I told you people there was something really wrong with that performance. Who needs a (practically line by line!) teleprompter for 'Beth'? I could get up there dressed like a cat and sing it from memory given 30 seconds notice. Presuming I'm already dressed like a cat, natch.

@GratefulFan:
Apart from Eric (drummer) looking down every 5 seconds... I thought it was a cool performance and crowd response, but hey, that's just my opinion. That kind of things really annoys me. When a singer cannot remember the lyrics or needs something to help them remember. I don't know why. Just feels like they didn't bother to rehearse the words or something. Plus he looks unprofessional. Apart from that, I haven't got anything bad to say about KISS.
