Correct on the first part.

A great band shouldn't have a weak album or two.

So Queen isn't a great band then (since you hate Hot Space)?
I always knew I was a star And now, the rest of the world seems to agree with me-Freddie Mercury

you are an idiot my friend, i like kiss and it is not even my fault that i pay tickets to see their show (to see a great show) and all i get is raspy singing and a bad sound.  oh and fireworks but maybe that will fix everything, right ....

Who say's Queen has two bad albums?.......and any band that was around for over 10 or 20 years have released a few weaker albums.  The stones?......almost every kiss album was weak....Especially the 80's to the present....that's a lot of bad shit, more than 1 or 2 albums for sure.  Even the who towards the end were not releasing the greatest albums in the world.  A band usually only has about 8 prime years.

Freddie probably wrote better songs in the 70s ie for example Boh Rap, We are the Champions, Killer Queen and Somebody to Love but he also wrote some great songs in the 80's, Its a hard life, play the game and princes of the universe come to mind

Also i see the subject of Hot Space has come up again but its still a decent album, its because people are used to Queen being a rock band that they don't particularly like an album which is more of a funk/dance album

I know some people wont agree but if we all agreed on everything it would be a very boring world

They sure weren't perfect.

70's mercury...

less drugs, smoke and booze, aspiring artists chances and hopes = better music.

not that the 80's music was bad... that had it's great moments, but for THE FIRST TIME [on the works] exhibited a "ehh.. i'm gonna skip that one..." from me..

GREAT? HELL YEA...

INFALLIBLE?... nah

Plus... that gay clone moustache... not like it's the biggest thing...nothing against "queers"... but it kinda got cartooned more than the glam days...

TO THIS I POSIT A QUESTION:

WHY DOESN'T ANYONE RAG ON JOHN DEACON'S RADIO GA GA FRO?

C'mon... you can't tell me that old tripe that no one pays attention to the bassist!

I'll answer your questions when you have a command of the English language.

Paul had been sick for a few of the shows on the European tour.  They had to drop
three of his songs at a couple of the shows on the tour.

Even with Paul not at 100% the audiences had a great time.   You didn't.  No big deal.

I don't think they do. It's all relative though. The Works and AKOM are IMO Queen's two weakest studio albums, but I think they are vastly superior to plenty of non-Queen albums. Not to mention that every Queen studio album features at least two songs (and often more) which IMO are terrific. If I presented someone a compliation covering Queen's entire career, I could easily find room for every album (with the possible exception of Flash, however that doesn't count).

No artist is. In fact, I wouldn't want Queen to be perfect. If they were, they probably wouldn't have been as bold.

I'd rather listen to a band who writes songs in different genres (Queen, KISS) than listen to a band
who writes the same exact song over and over again (AC/DC).  That doesn't necessarily mean that I
like the outcome of that experimentation.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
