I don't think they do. It's all relative though. The Works and AKOM are IMO Queen's two weakest studio albums, but I think they are vastly superior to plenty of non-Queen albums. Not to mention that every Queen studio album features at least two songs (and often more) which IMO are terrific. If I presented someone a compliation covering Queen's entire career, I could easily find room for every album (with the possible exception of Flash, however that doesn't count).

No artist is. In fact, I wouldn't want Queen to be perfect. If they were, they probably wouldn't have been as bold.

I'd rather listen to a band who writes songs in different genres (Queen, KISS) than listen to a band
who writes the same exact song over and over again (AC/DC).  That doesn't necessarily mean that I
like the outcome of that experimentation.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Wow skip, that's the most normal thing you said on this site....I'm proud of you!....AC/DC bores the hell out me.

The works is one of my favorite albums, i dont think its weak at all, half the songs on the album are brilliant and the other 5 are still quite good

Radio Gaga - Excellent
Hammer to Fall - Excellent
Its a hard life - Excellent
I want to break free - Excellent
Is this the world we created - beautiful
Tear it up - love it

Absolutely agree!
These 6 are brilliant!!!And you call them weak?
So what the hell you call the album weak?!
And Hot Space for me ISN'T A BAD ALBUM! Just an experiment, just another style.

I don't think the guy should be crucified for having creative ups and downs, in either case.   Even if someone thinks Hot Space is a flaming pile of crap, I think the guy more than earned his right to go and record whatever the hell he wanted.  He made up for it with Innuendo.

ive always said that hot space is a good album, the only thing some people dont like about it is that its not a rock album but I like the fact that Queen branched out a bit

agree with some of you're choices, but 'tear it up' is weak IMO.  the works is a middle of the road album for me...not great, not weak.  pretty good is more like it.  Of course it's all opinion anyway.

I'm glad they did hot space......i just wish the music was heavier, tighter.  The way the songs sounded at live at the bowl.....As it is, it's still a fun record.  I go on long road trips by myself, the road and my music..  Hot space got quite the spins on my long drives.  One of their weaker albums for sure,  doesn't have many clear cut classics like most others have, but still is a cool album.  Only the 'coolcats"  could appreaciate this one.
