I spent last evening being driven around select parts of the city by my newly licensed son.  Over a year and a half ago he started a countdown clock on his computer that ticked off the days, hours, minutes and seconds to the day he could get his beginner's permit.  It was such a joy to see him so happy, and while I expected to have a deathgrip on my imaginary girl racer roll bar, he actually did an amazing job.

Lady Gaga is now demanding that photographers surrender the copyright of photos taken at her gigs and photographers are incensed. Copyright exists the moment the work is created, which in this case is the moment when a photographer clicks their shutter button! I never post news about Lady Gaga because I don't care about what she's doing or got to say, BUT THIS HAS MADE ME FURIOUS. I am a passionate photographer when it comes to gigs. I believe that we should own the copyright of our own fucking work.
