My name is Dan Cuny. I was the person that filmed this show in San Francisco. At the time, I worked at a camera store at the time. I was always photographing concerts with my still camera but decided to try to a sound movie for this show. My girlfriend (now wife of almost 35 years) hid the camera in her purse as it was somewhat cumbersome with a mic. on the top of the camera. As always, I got to the front of the stage, and this was the opening song. The difficulty was the films were limited to just 3 minutes. I also have another 3 min. film of the band, but it's not nearly as good as it's somewhat out of focus at times, and many people in front. I believe the show was in March of 1977 with Thin Lizzy. I have many still images from the show as well as a few other Queen shows I attended. If you are interested in more information, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Great! Thanks for the story. Can you upload these films and photos here on Queen Zone please? ===================
And this is the perfect example why other bands have so much more rare footage on the market. Fans and friends and the official record company of the band work together, share their information and thoughs, without MONEY issues taking the lead.

Yeah, I have to agree... this is amongst the very best footage of Queen in existence. Certainly the best 8mm we've seen so far..

Wow, what incredible footage!!
Freddie smiling during Tie your mother down is now probably one of my favourite pieces of footage, certainly because it's such a wonderful close-up:-)

Thanks for your amazing films and pictures, Dan:-) Your footage is incredible - to have such a good camera in the 70s that even recorded sound must have been a privilege. The quality of the second film is just great, as well. Funny that you have Paul Rodgers in your concert photo collection :-)

Indeed, thank you very much for uploading your footage. One of the best Queen-related fan-items I've ever come across.
