Musically, it's a dead tie between White Man and Flick of the Wrist.

Interesting that Machines and Tear it up aren't mentioned, from the 80's I think these are the heaviest along with Hitman. I go crazy is nice too.
Dead on time and Tie your mother down are the greatest for me. Son and Daughter is very very good in heaviness. Flick of the wrist too. We will rock you fast as well. White man is intense, but not heavy. SHA is fast and noisy, not heavy. The other ones aren't exactly what I'd call heavy.

Really? I'll be honest, I don't even remember how Machines goes, I've hardly listened to it all the way through. But Tear It Up has a very clear 80's production style, which in my opinion makes it sound pretty un-heavy.

WHITE MAN always reminds me of run to the hills by iron maiden

Another song that seems to have been totally overlooked IMO is We Will Rock You.

I think its popularity has led people to overlook how heavy that song could sound. Its so simple but its very punchy, you've got that simple but powerful beat that is amplified in a live setting and a great solo. The lyrics are pretty strong IMO as well.

There are heavier songs of course (White Man, It's late, Hitman, Gimme the Prize, flick of the wrist, I could go on) but WWRY does seem to have been overlooked a little here so I thought I'd give it some love.

No Gimmie the Prize? I know it's not a fantastic song. But he virtually screams it like a metal singer.

I would give the prize to Gimme The Prize too. And I actually do think it's a fantastic song. :D

I guess The Hitman is heavier than most if not all the Queen songs. as the favorites I would go with I want It All, Was It All Worth It, Ogre Battle, Death On Two Legs, Hammer To Fall and Great King Rat

I would say Sheer Heart Attack followed by Stone Cold Crazy. The riff in Jesus is also pretty monstrous and must be right up there. Solo stuff and Brian has a few including Cyborg and Resurrection.

In order, album by album, here are the songs I think are the "heaviest" on each: [listu] [li]Queen = Great King Rat (the solo section in Jesus is fantastic) [li]Queen II = Ogre Battle [li]Sheer Heart Attack = Brighton Rock [li]A Night At The Opera = The Prophets Song (more so for it's darkness) [li]A Day At The Races = Tie Your Mother Down [li]News Of The World = Sheer Heart Attack [li]Jazz = Let Me Entertain You (just thunderous! - listen with a good set of earphones) [li]The Game = Dragon Attack [li]Hot Space = Put Out The Fire [li]The Works = Machines  (very underrated) [li]A Kind Of Magic = Gimme The Prize [li]The Miracle = Headlong [li]Innuendo = Hitman (solo section of Innuendo is genius) [li]Made In Heaven = Nothing really heavy here [li]My pick of them all is Sheer Heart Attack from New of the World - just a killer song and live it's nuts!!
The Miracle = Headlong]
Headlong was an Innuendo song ;)

As for mine, I'd probably say it's between The Hitman, I Want It All, and Was It All Worth It.
