>I hardly believe they don't have the multitracks. if they don't, than why did they release Now I'm Here and I'm In Love With my Car from that gig?
Those used the same video feed that was broadcast on TV 30 years ago, not multi-track audio. Besides, they're lossy videos, so they don't have to be at the quality standard of a CD release.
>Action This Day from Tokyo 1982 is a stupid choice because that was one of the worst performances of the song.
Assuming that Milton Keynes and Tokyo 82 are the only two multi-tracks they have from 1982, what previously unreleased live Hot Space track would have been better? The answer - this is likely all they have ! It was either Body Language or this, and I doubt they would release the former with that aforementioned vocal performance from Freddie, clearly exhausted at the end of the tour.
The show does have many great moments, and Action This Day is still a great version. Sure, Freddie didn't hit the higher notes like he did at Milton Keynes, but for the millionth time ... THERE IS MORE TO LIVE PERFORMANCES THAN THE NOTES A SINGER HITS!
I'll be happy to have it. In high quality it's going to sound great.

old VHS:
01 Now I'm Here (6:56) 02 Medley (Put Out The Fire, Dragon Attack, Now I'm Here [Reprise]) (6:18) 03 Love Of My Life (4:01) 04 Save Me (4:10) 05 Brian May Guitar Solo (5:07) 06 Under Pressure (3:36) 07Crazy Little Thing Called Love (5:04) 08 Bohemian Rhapsody (5:32) 09Tie Your Mother Down (3:59) 10 Teo Torriate (4:26) 11 We Will Rock You (2:23) 12 We Are The Champions (3:38) 13 God Save The Queen (1:20)
Bowl bonus DVD : 01 calling all girls
and now it's going to be 2 more tracks: WWRY and Action this Day... I think that's fantastic because we'll have almost complete version of the last 1982 gig!!

Yep, I agree. And there is also Flash and The Hero .. they were on the VHS and the Live At The Bowl DVD disc 2.

Re: Silver Salmon by Tim Staffell
I believe it was Tim himself who confirmed that he penned it, and it was either on his site (now defunct) or in an interview.
I also recall Brian noting that, too, when talking about Smile tracks.

Apparently, Jamster1111 hasn't heard some of the North American versions (where Freddie cracks on random notes). That Tokorozawa version is actually pretty good (considering Freddie's voice was blown), plus the Japan versions have tighter instrumentation, and more creative note choices towards the end of the song.

And what concerts DO they have the multitracks for? In other words, what concerts from the 70's and 80's are capable of being released?...
So if they don't have them for Hammersmith 1979, does that mean that show is NEVER going to be released?...that's a disappointment that will never be able to see such great performances in better quality just because they have to have the multitracks.

The Hamm 79 soundboard (in the archive) is in relative good quality but the audience (like almost all the soundboards) track is barely audible (If you listen now i´m here from the People of kampuchea lp you will release of this cause you will to hear the audience track) I guess that Paul Mc Cartney has the Multitrack of the gig.... or at least he had it when the Lp (People of kampuchea) was released... Anyway since they release Keep yourself alive and the other de lane lea demos with the needle sound they could release Save me from the soundboard master...
* The footage of hammersmith 79 is in Excellent Quality!
Cheers!

yes the anthology I have made have two studio albums in a leatherbound book, each album covers half the book and they are flipped, so once youve read the one side, flip it over and the other album is there.....

It's Late single version would have been nice, too.

I think this is a much more surprising batch of re-releases and bonus tracks than the first five. Psyched.
Onto the box sets!

Bonus tracks for Jazz, Game and Flash will be great. News and Hot Space - disappointing IMO.

Nice!
I'm really happy about this release. I thought it would have been worst. I especially like the bonus tracks of
1) NOTW 2) The Game and Jazz
But I think I'll buy all of them...

I think that there are some interesting tracks...we were always going to get live tracks as fillers! Nice to see the Live Killers multi tracks coming out the vault on SHA.
I think some members need to appreciate that with such a back catalogue and body of unreleased work, tracks are not going to be issued from the vaults ad hoc on these remasters. In my opinion, the Queen catalogue remains the most important to have not had an anthology style release...but I think we are closer than we have ever been to seeing that happen. Remember that an anthology box has been mentioned as far back as 1990....I'm sure we can wait a year or so more until it finally happens.
The remasters would be the natural first step moving to a new label and rerelease the bread and butter GH1 & 2 albums as has happened. I think we will get a live collection / box, a release to sweep up all the single mixes / extended mixes etc and then what we have all been waiting for...the unreleased / alternative versions in a seperate release. Don't be surprised though if they are released in album format again like the reissues and we end up having to buy the bloody original album again! I won't go in to what should and shouldn't be in there...that has been discussed at great lengths on the forums.
I'm sure that there are a few more surprises to come....and let's not forget some more live dvd's / blu ray releases. Personally, I would love anything new form the 70's and in particular...Houston 77.
Be patient my friends...a little bit longer....I think the wait could be nearly over!

My real complaint is that they didn't use the second CD to its full potential or capacity. Why put 5-6 tracks on there when they could have put twice as much. That's a waste of CD space and cruel to the hardcore fans.

The one failry obvious omission is the BBC Sessions version of it's Late. Very odd, especially as that's such a good version too.
To comment on the people who say that Hammy O 1979 gig will never be released cos they don't have the master audio tapes; I thnk that was always an issue, but I see it as less of one now as they were happy to release a MONO version of Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy on the ADATR reissue, and that sounds absolutely great, so I'm looking on the bright side and hoping that Brian is unclenching a bit on that front.

One mono bonus track doesn't imply they'll release a full CD/DVD out of a stereo tape.
