If that's an actual picture of him, it would be nice as it is and I'm sure people from Spain and/or familiar with Miro's works would appreciate it more than others. If it's not an actual work by Miró and it's just made in the style of him I would say the execution could be better (the first "A" is weirdly positioned).
Exactly Wiley, I see you´re well versed :)
As a citizen of / born in Barcelona, I immediately recognized the Miró style, wich of course is nice to me. The problem is that I can´t recognize this picture as part of his original work.
In case this is the definitive artwork, I can obviously see what they´re trying to do with this Miró-esque painting, as you well mentioned in your post.
Anyway, I prefer the original album cover .... yes, that "A" is weird !
Just received the Press Release for this. Unfortunately, it looks like that are keeping that appalling artwork, but there is a sentence in the release which is equally as bad:-
"‘Barcelona - The Special Edition’ is finally the album it should have been" who the hell is qualified to make that statement?

I won't personally buy it, but I'm sure that every fan of Freddie's solo work will love it.
PS I don't care who created the cover, but it's UGLY
I'm a fan of his solo work, but this isn't solo, is it? :P
£35 for an orchestral version of the album and a new edit of a music video is a bit too much.
For that money they should have thrown in the new documentary at least... It's not like the sales of few thousand copies are going to affect the tv ratings?
Unless the price drops to half, I'll be getting the single disc only.
I think I will buy it as soon as released. But not sure if I will buy the deluxe edition. I already have the demos and i´m not very interested in the dvd because at the end i´m only going to see it once. At last something decent after all these years.
