The press release makes no mention of the audio being remixed, and only refers to 'remastered 5.1 sound', which is bizarre when you need a 5.1 mix in the first place to remaster, but there wasn't!

I'm betting that the sound will not be remixed from the original tapes like Montreal, but we'll just get a fake 5.1 mix expanded from the stereo mix, which is what they did with Wembley (bad).

Still, as others have pointed out the press release (as with nearly all queen press releases) has some other factual inaccuracies such as stating that it's the first ever cinema screening, which it isn't, so we'll see.

I too am frustrated at the 'Freddie only' cover pics for recent releases (Wembley, Montreal, this), especially when there are plenty of specific Freddie solo releases coming at the same time too.

Showcase Cinemas have announced that they will be showing it.

Could not agree more, way too much Freddie on the art work these days. They could easily include the Guitar guy, and that nice lad who played Bass, or the good looking one. :-)

Seriously though, It's all down to marketing. The average pleb buying music these days has the attention span of a goldfish. You put four guys on the cover, and from 3 feet away on the shelf it looks like everything else, it just blends in.

Bang Freddie on it and it stands out, the pleb recognises and buys said thing.

Queen was my favourite singer ever. He could have used a better backing band though, the one he had was incompetent, especially the guitarist.
