Is Hot Space Queen's best album

The most controversial album in Queen's recording History, "Hot Space" was a real departure for Queen. A disco funk rock fusion, mixed with a latin ballad, Hot Space, i have come to my musical conclusion, is one Queen's best ever albums, if only for it's total uniqueness. Hot Space never ever bore, is never repetitive, and truly was and is groundbreaking.
So on balance, far from it being Queen's weakest moment, it exemplifies Queen's greatest secret ingredient , that being musical diversity and inventiveness that prodcuced so many musical suprises in every style of music they took on board amidst their short lived recording career.

I like the radio advertisement for the Hot Space concert in Montreal which had been included in the Montreal bootleg - "Get your Hot Space now".

Indeed, there are 5 more tracks from Hot Space, as well as Rock It and Fat Bottomed Girls. The rest is the same.

In early 82 they played Liar, but it was quickly dropped. I still can't believe they didn't play it in North America when they had it in the bag. I just want to go into a time machine and smack them, as just about everyone wanted to hear the early stuff.

Its like asking if Yellow Submarine is the Beatles best song because it is such a departure from all the good things that they did...

Well, it's one of my favorite Queen albums for its sheer uniqueness among their catalog, for Freddie's vocal performance and, well, it's a real fun album. I enjoy it greatly.
I believe it's still listed as my favorite Queen album in my Queenzone profile.

They went for it, took a great risk with it. It was the last time they did it.

Don't give me that "they were trying to replicate Another one bites the dust's success" crap or say it was Freddie and John taking over the other two's rockier side.
Hot Space is way more than that.

If anything, it was Rog who introduced synths, funk and new wave to the band:
Fight from the Inside -> Fun it -> Coming soon.
