Of course you're not sure what I'm talking about, since you're on the moaners' side.

Lets have a bit of balance here for a change and not just the same old boring bollocks about why nobody can replace Freddie..... Boring
Who made you forum ruler?
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Well if they're going to resurrect John lennon to sing with Queen why can't they just resurrect Fred instead? Typical Queen productions: always going for the cheap option.

Believe it or not, I agree with you.

RE: Queen now

I would not like them here or there. I would not like them anywhere.
I do not like them in a house. I do not like them with a mouse.
Not in a box. Not with a fox.
I would not, could not, in a car.
I would not, could not in a tree.
I would not, could not, in the rain. Not in the dark. Not on a train.
I could not, would not, on a boat. I will not, will not, with a goat. I will not
eat them in the rain. I will not eat them on a train. Not in the dark! Not in a tree! Not
in a car! You let me be! I do not like them in a box. I do not like them with a fox. I
will not eat them in a house. I do not like them with a mouse. I do not like them
here or there. I do not like them ANYWHERE!

Seb I am surprised you prefer to see the same boring topics over and over, I thought you were more interested in proper debate?

One of the reasons I found Queen in the first place was the fact they stood for musical debate and pushing boundaries, they dared to try new things, now it didnt always work but I appauled them for giving it a go, unlike most of their peers. Now it seems Queen fan are just shallow minded, if they try something new they are universally slagged off, (on here anyway). God imagine what this place would have been like when Hot Space came out had it been around...jeez
There are times when I think the 'fans' here are more narrow minded then the NME used to be and that was saying something.

Open a window, Togg : hyperbole doesn't suit you and it's getting stuffy in here. In making such a broad judgement of this forum, you're being dismissive of those of us who have expressed constructive opinions on recent collaborations. Do you think all of us were in the Kiev thread just saying "THIS SUCKS, THIS SUCKS"? No. It was a very quickly expanding 30-something pages of decent commentary on what we were seeing.

I have a counter proposal for the topic starter and for anyone who thinks there's too much 'moaning' here - if I don't see you contributing actual input to threads such as the Kiev one, then maybe you're the one who should be rethinking your approach to this place.

Just to quickly add that - Jessie J was less of a technical/musical train wreck than the Adam Lambert express. She at least stuck to the key of the song.

Stylistically, it's just as bizarre and pointless as many of the other guests that Queen have played with in the past few years. We Will Rock You is a rock song. Jessie J couldn't rock a cradle made of balsa wood. All power to her and her formulaic dance trash, but it bears no relation to Queen.

I know that public opinion and marketing nonsense is a big factor in choosing who they sing with, otherwise they'd give the job to someone who actually suits it. I had to laugh because another good one during the Closing Ceremony was Russell Bland singing "I Am The Walrus". That seriously happened; it's amazing, the career that this wart has eked out for himself by being Not Noel Fielding (Noel being a lot funnier, in case you haven't heard of him for some reason).

I really was glad to see Brian get so much screen time in the end. In amongst all of that trash, it was good to see someone just playing a guitar. The way it should be.

I agree Zeb. What you said is correct. She was in the right key, a nice change. She just isn't a rock singer. I don't understand why they didn't have G.M. or Kaiser Chief's singer sing. He sounded great singing Pinball. But Brian got serious air time especially here in the US. Truely that was a big surprise. They, NBC, never aired The Who's performance even though they made a point to announce them over & over when advertising the closing ceremonys. Queen was never mentioned by US commentators, shocker! So Brian stealing serious tv time was a nice little victory for Queen fans. Plus Freddie with his sing along was great to see. They could have selected anyone to appear, live or on video & they chose Freddie! More improtantly, the US broadcast could have ommited his "performance" but they didn't! I say take it for what its worth & be happy Queen was involved at all. They could have gone with the Stones or Elton but they chose Queen.

Honestly, just get fucked. If something's shite, people are going to complain. That's like asking people not to be happy when something good gets released; literally the same deal. Spontaneous emotional response to new input - ie. me being happy about the Days Of Our Lives Blu-Ray last year. Are you saying I shouldn't have told anyone that I was happy that they'd made such a good documentary?
Go catch a bus or something.
I fully agree.

Will all the moaners on this website stop complaining about anything or any what, god damn it! Appreciate what you get; Accept that Freddie Mercury died 20 years ago and that new material will never reach the standard of what was produced in the 70's or 80's! Is this queenzone or fucking queenmoan??!
Who the fuck are you anyway? Did you ever contribute something to this site? Ever taped a Queen / Queen related concert? Or shared a concert?
