Do you think there should be one final world tour or not?

God I hope not. Not with that muppet.

I don't think he has ANYTHING approaching a rock and roller voice. He's thin and tinny. Plus he looks like a fattening butch.... almost Eltonesque
Still, sadly. ..if I have the money I will go to that tour. It will be my last chance to see A PART OF QUEEN live.
Song wise it might be better than the Cosmos rocks.... mainly because it will be more of a compromise.
However, it would be embarrassing

I would hope so, I know AL is a million miles from Freddie, however it was great to see Brian and Roger doing what they do best, I've been to every tour as Queen or solo since 84 and thought he was better than the kung fu Chuck Norris look a like they toured with, Queen was all about bad taste and camp and AL nailed that

I've said it before, but I really would like to see Brian and Roger do a 'Storytellers' type gig with different vocalists, where they delve into the catalogue to play lesser known hits and explain the stories behind them. As much as Queen have always been the archetypal big sound/lights/stageshow rock band, a more intimate performance would really concentrate on the songs, and the people behind them. Some tracks could be played true to the originals and some could be reworked tastefully (like Brian's various acoustic interludes on the AL dates for example).

freddie was all about camp, in the good old days Queen were a ROCK band. When they were with Paul they rocked again.

Adam has a GREAT voice, but there is one serious problem with him - HE F***ING CAN'T SING.
I really hope Brian and John retire (I can't believe I'm actually writing this, I was SOOOO excited when they were touring with Paul), the 2012 shows were TERRIBLE. Brian can't play the guitar anymore, Roger can't drum anymore, it was VERY sad to see them :-(
There is one, and I mean ONE thing which I liked - Roger's voice. He is still an amazing singer with a great voice.

I don't agree with your thoughts on Brian - I thought he was as good, if not better, than for years on the AL show I went to; especially considering he didn't have Jamie on second guitar too.
However, I sadly agree about Roger - I am one of his biggest fans and he is one of my all time drumming heroes, but he just has no stamina or power in his playing at all now; even on the cosmos rocks tour it was evident that his left hand hardly hits the snare now and almost just falls on it when playing, and this is so detrimental to his sound and style. He even had Rufus play TYMD - presumably it was too much for him that late in the set?

I hope so, I'd like to buy a ticket. He's a talented kid, certainly a better singer than Paul was, respectful of the band and material. IDK why there is such viterol for viterol's sake around here. But nothing new on these boards. Somehow Paul managed to age Brian and Roger even more so. From what I did see of the Q+AL videos, Brian and Roger actually *gasp* looked like they were having fun, gave them a shot of youth. I saw Brian's tweet about it being possible that they'd do more shows. Having never seen either Brian or Roger live, I would certainly be there.

Presumably you mean vitriol? It's not for vitriol's sake, as you suggest: some people like Lambert's voice and some don't. Welcome to the world of different opinions. As for aging, if you recall, Brian and Roger were very energetic and very keen when first working with PR. However, Brian, in particular, seemed to grow more disillusioned as their final tour wore on. I wonder how energetic Brian and Rog would be after 30 shows with Lambert? The problem with TCR is that they were too keen to keep PR on board, so the album ended up being PR + Queen instead of vice versa. So therefore we got a lot of mediocre bluesy songs (although to be fair to Rodgers, Brian and Roger's contributions were average too). [/QUOTE]

My bad on the spelling, yes vitriol.. ;) I don't care one bit if people don't like Lambert's voice. Hell, I don't like his voice at times either. I wish I could cut up the set list they chose and toss the ones that aren't suited at all and suggest a few others. People not liking his voice is possibly the nicest thing said about him. He seems a decent guy, respectful and well Brian and Roger are the ones who know if the puzzle piece fits for them. Honestly, I didn't go to a PR tour nor follow it. They didn't come near where I live, so I wasn't even aware it was happening at the time. I had to look up videos of it. Paul is just a dud to me, sorry. However I didn't like his previous band either. I don't like his blues voice, it just didn't service the Queen material well at all. IF Brian and Roger do a tour again, I hope they keep it to a small amount of dates. 30 shows, I don't know if they would even be up for that.

If they're going to make a thing of them finishing up, they should go out on a high note. I don't think Adam Lambert would help them achieve that..
