Would there be public interest in a tour. Sonisphere indicates that in the UK perhaps not, It has to be noted that Paul pulled in quite a few of his fans on the previous tours.
Lambert a better singer than Paul - lets wait around 42 years before judging on that.

"certainly a better singer than Paul was, respectful of the band and material"
I dunno. He spent a similar amount of time filling the air with pointless trills and adlibs. The difference between Adam Lambert and Paul Rodgers is that Lambert was usually flat when he was doing it. Which was painful to listen to.
Paul Rodgers' problem was that he was a sleazy douche.
Honestly, Brian and Roger only need each other, and if that means they're playing to 500 people - so be it. I don't give a shit, it's not like they're coming to Australia. I'd only be seeing them play on Youtube, so it doesn't matter to me if they're filling stadiums or not.

Hmmm....I always thought I was the one who suggested a guest lineup vh1 show! Long loooong ago!
You re gonna have a date with my lawyer!
;-)
Anyways it's not so important cause its not like to happen
Lambert can reach notes few people can reach but his stage presence was nil
To give em credit. .. they didn't seem adequately prepared.... still it DID look like they were having fun

They haven't played here in Australia since 1985, which is the reason i think if a big tour does go ahead in the future, they should bloody well come to Aus and give us a damn good show.
I'm not going to count on it though.

Certainly not counting on it, but it kinda looks to me like something is in the works, so my hopes are up just a little bit. Why else would both Adam and Brian say 'It's possible, it's not a no' if there were no talks happening? QE not booked for the summer? Was loose lipped Spike alluding to plans months ago really true? Who knows if Australia is in the works, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
I was not alive for the US tour with Freddie, the Q+PR tour did not come to my state, although at that time in my life I would not have been interested. But now, sure why not. Brian and Roger looked to be having fun and it's likely the only chance I'll ever get to see them.
I think they should be very, very careful about number of dates and venues in the US. Looking at the stats on the Q+PR wiki page, they did way too many dates in too big of venues. Call it a limited run, special engagement, maybe 10 shows in North America tops including Canada.

I'd really hope that Brian is just being generous by being seen to keep the door open to Adam, at this point. He just was not up to snuff as a vocalist. It's frustrating to hear all of that off-key singing, and then see that there's still people who want him back for more! Did we even listen to the same shows?
I get that he's the most convenient way to get Brian and Roger on stage, and maybe that last bit is more important to fans than hearing a solid performance, but it ain't that way for me. I'd rather there be no more Queen shows than anymore shite ones, and I say that as someone who's desperate to see Brian someday.
Just a little sick of the half measures, is all. All of this trotting shit out with different singers and mini-tours - turning the Queen gigs into virtual open mic nights with those ridiculous guest singers (that absolutely tone deaf schmuck at Kiev - someone tells me he was a local X-Factor contestant, and I'll take their word for it). It might make Brian and Roger feel nice to give 20 seconds of stage time to a hack and make him feel on top of the world, but it's absolutely no fun as a listener to endure shit like that.
It makes me happy on one level that Brian and Roger still play, but what frustrates me is that I have to sift through crap that does not interest me in order to get a listen. I'd love to see Brian play Good Company, for instance, but there's no way I'd pay to sit through Kerry Ellis. Brian and Roger doing Kind of Magic as well as they have been doing for the past few years - I'd sell your kidneys to be able to see that live! - but I just don't know that it would justify hearing Adam Lambert squeeze out another fresh turd into the airwaves.
I just wish they'd shitcan the pointless guests.

Lets just face it, no one will ever be able to come close to the The great F.M. No matter who the singer is, it will be crap compared to what we have seen on dvd or youtube from the good old days.
Enough said.

I just wish Brian and Roger would realize that everyone would be happy to just see them perform as a duo with back-upband. I'm sure they could've filled Hammersmith Odeon 2 or 3 times without Adam. Sure, they probably won't be able to fill an O2 Arena on their own - but so what? I'd love them to do a sort of Storytellers gig in small (1500-2000 seats?) venues, with them performing their own songs (Good Company, Tenement Funster, I'm In Love With My Car, '39) along with some of the biggest hits they wrote (GaGa, TYMD, Magic, FBG) while telling some stories about them in between songs. Would be awesome and I'd happily fly to wherever to see them.
But more gigs with Lambert or another singer? No thanks. I WOULD like to see Paul Rodgers return though. I've seen them 13 times in 2005/2008 and it was awesome.

This doesn't sound quite accurate.

See, I disagree with this. There have been a few great guest performances.
Adam Lambert just wasn't at any of them.

I said 'crap' compared to Freddie, i did not say it would be crap in general.

Yeah, but the problem is that you're still wrong. Freddie was fucking amazing, but history has one or two fucking amazing singers in the ranks, and there won't be too many of them in the future if we stick our heads in the sand and say 'well everyone sucks compared to the dead guy'.
That would be a very boring future for people who enjoy live music.
