The Game for me. It's also the best production and I love all the songs on it. I might actually be in the minority who likes 'Don't Try Suicide'.

For me, I always saw 'DTS' as a song about the angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other, each telling the person conflicting things, hence the 'do it, don't do it' lines. As a kid it made sense to me that way and it still does.

Interesting what you say about Don't Try Suicide. Early on I hated it with a passion too. But then it hit me like a ton of bricks and it has stuck with me ever since. Its wicked! "Don't put your neck on then line, Don't drown on me babe etc." And as they say, if you like it, play it. F**k what anyone else things....lol.

ahh another DTS lover. That's my take on the song anyway and I've always liked 'em all on The Game. 'Coming Soon' gets a bit of stick too, but it's got a cool new wave feel I think. But the one two of 'Dragon Attack' and 'Another One Bites The Dust' is killer. [/QUOTE]

I think DTS is a solid track. I'm not a huge fan but I don't dislike it, and musically it's pretty enjoyable. Coming Soon doesn't do much for me, but the melody and backing vocals are pretty nice. I quite enjoy Rock It

Yes, Rock It. Another cool track off The Game. That's why it gets my 80's vote. Cause for me its solid all the way down. Every other 80's album lacks consistency in my opinion. Unless you count Flash Gordon, as I think that is a very consistent album too, even if it is a soundtrack.

I have to say one of my favourite songs from the Miracle album would be Scandal, what do you all think of that song?

But not mine. Its not bad, but I'm not the biggest fan off either Scandal or Was It All Worth It. The latter seems to be one of the most popular Queen songs from the latter period I think, but I just don't buy it, at least the way others seem to. And that pitch adjustment on Freddie's voice is one of my most disliked moments in the whole Queen collection. Yet for my taste, Innuendo and Made in Heaven which followed next, basically top off anything Queen did in the 80's, although The Game gives them a nudge.

What pitch adjustment? I'm not questioning the accuracy of what you said or anything, I just need my memory jogged.

"Waaaiitt for that moment!!" is the line as I recall. Freddie's voice has been adjusted to reach the note, presumably since he is using his gut voice and not his head voice to reach it. Closer to the end of the song it is as I remember.

In Was It All Worth It, you mean? Those lyrics don't appear at all as far as I can tell

Whoops! Its actually Hang On In There that has that line it it. But Was It All Worth it hasn't been a huge favourite either, but much better than Hang On In There. The fast string-like" synths aren't very convincing to me and are a bit pretentious the way I see it. I'm very glad Innuendo came out as I personally wouldn't have seen it as a great finisher to their career. Now The Show Must Go On? That was something else!
