I think of all of the great bands of the 70's Queen seemed to have the most energy to have kept on going.

I really believe that had FM not died they would still be putting out albums, and some touring.

What do you guys think?

Yes they would it would be great they would be a super band. But then as posted before we wouldnt have the miracle innuendo heaven albums. Most those songs were about all the emotions running thru the band at the time. We would have diiferent tracks and more albums etc. So its a funny subject.. Those songs or queen more... Queen more..

"The Miracle" would probably been fairly close to how it turned out anyways. "Innuendo" would have most definitely been likely to have taken on a different shape, and of course "Made In Heaven" would not exist at all period.

I doubt that they'd still be writing or performing together. I don't think I'd want them to anyway, they left us plenty of incredible music to get by.

I can think of a few bands that are still going {putting out new albums} from the 70's like Kiss, Nazareth, Van Halen, Stones, Aerosmith, Ozzy, and probably a few more that I can't think of just now.

I would bet that Queen would have probably done as the bands mentioned above, and taken more time between albums, and tours.

I think Queen would have been like the Rolling Stones; they would get tired of each other, take a long break, go solo, then realize that no one wants to hear them solo, go back to the band, and become successes again, but mainly by touring.
Any way the wind blows...

Bowie just came out with another album too haha, anyways I do not know if I would have liked the direction they would have went in the 90s or 2000s I liked Queen the most in the 70s particulary early 70s, I liked them in the 80s and 90s too, just less than I did in the 70s.

Though in The Miracle they were headed back to more of their 70s rock oriented feel so maybe I would have really enjoyed the 70s.....

I think they would have done a few more albums/tours but i dont think they would be doing much now, they probably would have got sick of each other by the late 90s.

I think they would have taken a long break after AKOM, or whatever hypothetical album might have come after that instead of The Miracle, but would be back again now and as big as they ever were.

I don't agree that their success would be mainly from touring, that is true of big acts like the Rolling Stones, but only because they ran out what little creative juice they had in the first place. Queen were always head and shoulders above most of their peers creatively speaking. Their albums would still be huge, and as a unit they would still "have it" as song writers.

Probably. That's all speculation, and could well be completely wrong, but I think it is quite possible.
Definitely yes.Too much creative juices among the 4 of them to put down the banner had Freddie lived.
Also a bit of touring but much slower.

Yes, but as a three piece. Deaky will have still retired at some point.

I'd have liked to hear Freddie do some more stuff along the lines of the Barcelona album. And I think he would've too. I think if Queen had stayed together they'd have done studio stuff, but I'm not so sure about tours. Apparently, Freddie hated the idea of being an old rocker on stage (I'm not sure that he said that just as an excuse to not perform live as he got ill - he might have meant it even if he wasn't dying).

well I think they would continue, dont know for sure about concerts,Freddie was very energetic on stage, and since the years would go by,I dont think we would be able to act like he wanted on stage for so long, maybe few pecial concerts, about studio works, since queen had four composers it would be easy for new songs, the miracle possibly would come out as well, innuendo not so sure, even if it was, surely not too dark, till with good songs though, and much possible we wouldnt have personal albums from brian and roger, maybe some songs here and there

For some reason i can't see Queen with Freddie alive, in the today spectrum of music. I can't see them as becoming a cliche as so many super-groups of that time turned into today ( like rol.stones, aerosmith, scorpions e.t.c.)
The scenery has changed a lot and Queen were always about pussing bundaries.I find it very diffult to imagine how Queen would have adopted and tranform their momentum and creativity into the modern reality where contemporary music has really lost its vibrant core that used to change peoples lives.
...Or perhaps i am just struck with nostalgia.
