As if it would be an upgrade over the DVD-Audio release....

Blu-ray Audio is easily far more accessible than either DVD-Audio or SACD were. Also, the menus and navigation would surely have to be an improvement over the sluggish, badly designed DVD-A's version :-)

if you care about sound quality, this is superb news.

day 1 for me. easily.

I hope they include the videos like they did on the "classic albums" special edt. dvd by eagle rock.

Queen II on blu ray audio is perhaps THE Queen product I'd most like to see released

Yeah, Queen II: it would be nice if this album was released on Blu ray.
Is sound quality on Blu ray better than DVD audio?

The difference in audio quality between blu ray and dvd audio will only be apparent on very high end equipment

Ditto, I suggested BD-A releases too even since before BD came out, and got ridiculed for it too.
But BD-A releases ARE out there now for some artists, like Pink Floyd and Rush! No excuse for Queen not to get into it and resume their 5.1 releases, now that Blu-ray has been without a competing format for a few years now :-)
