Many many thanks for this! I am a huge Highlander fan. I actually became a Queen fan through Highlander (AKOM was my first Queen album) and I still get warm fuzzies whenever I hear the opening "Here we are..." :-)

The "Born to be kings..." verse always sounds out of place to me too because I'm so used to the version from the opening credits of the TV show. I love this mix because it has my favorite parts of the song, and the guitar playing the melody of the verse is just great. I feel like breaking out my Highlander DVDs now. haha

I know what you mean Adam - I like that that this version is trying to be as madcap at The Hero on Flash, but they obviously changed tack during the process. This is great and a shame it wasn't on the AKOM deluxe.

I'd like to echo the thanks and gratitude directed toward the uploadee and the original owner of the tape. I, too, prefer this to the album cut, as I've never liked the 'Born to be kings ...' verse.
