Um, well. I LOVE Aerosmith but they don't come close to my respect and obsession with Queen!

Splicksplack I dont' know if you are talking about Roger Taylor or Steven Tyler.
I have a hunch Steven Tyler and people thought Freddie and Queen were...gay. Which IS ironic coming from Steven Tyler but we should remember there was a good twenty years or more when and where guys were borderline transvestites and people did not consider that gay.
I guess Roger Taylor has flat out lied about doing drugs then, eh? That's really sad.
I was talkiung about Roger. Can't remember if it was Happiness or E Fire tour.

Well if that is true about Roger that is VERY sad and disappointing.

We all know already from different sources (Mack, Ratty...) that Queen and entourage did use and purchase cocaine and some other drugs frequently.
To me its nearly impossible to think that from the band Brian would have used. Freddie had his own substances and circles and that leaves only John and Roger left from the band. So this shouldn't be a news to anybody.
Cocaine is a bad drug, even though people say that they only use it for "partying". It can be highly addictive, and the habbit is not easily shaken off.

I guess so I guess I messed up by believing Roger Taylor in one of the documentaries...

My Stage Manager friend only said that there was loads of cocaine around. He didn't say he saw Roger sniffing away.
However, Roger used to go out partying with Rick Parffitt from the Quo and by all accounts he's a fuckin hoover (until his heart probs that is)

Hah. Well 100g of coke is quite a lot really, enough for 100 people at any rate, but it's still only enough to fill a very very small bowl.
Depending on purity, 100g of coke is enough to kill between about 15 and 40 people if taken in the course of a single evening. They'd have to be expecting a hell of a lot of company if they needed that amount, which a quick google search tells me would fetch about 40 pounds per gram. Considering that Roger is a) rich and b) fairly famous, we can also expect him to have access to somewhat better coke (i.e. coke that hasn't been cut very much), so the price rises, and the lethal dose drops.
I really don't believe that such quantities are realistic. Even something like 20 grams would be a very, very large quantity.

I see this site still fails to act objectively in the main. Queen are my favourite band but that doesn't mean that all other bands are crap simply for not liking Queen. I happen to rate Aerosmith highly but if others don't I can accept that we all have our personal tastes - if you don't like something it doesn't mean it is crap even if it is say
rap or jazz which I don't like but others clearly do

^^^ nice observation. but stepfordmania presides (alas)
regardless of what the mindless say, Aerosmith are a great band and "the toxic twins" have created some great tunes
down the years.
and personally, i think that admitting to not liking a band initially but admitting you were wrong, is
quite a big thing to do and quite humble - in a decent sort of way
