Still cheaper over at Amazon.ca.
£103.77 GBP = $175.48 CAD (per xe.com)
vs $142.92 CDN
And shipping to UK from Amazon Canada would only be $6.98 CDN (£4.13) by standard shipping, so go figure :-)

Where can the North American fans order The Lot?

I think it's well overpriced.
I'm really thinking I won't bother now.

I'm guessing that a lot of people who would have bought Fun on Earth will be buying The Lot, rather than the single FOE cd - not that I'm bothered about chart positions, but I'm guessing this will hit any charting of FOE negatively as the box set sales won't count?

Don't forget you probably get stung for import duty tax as it's over £17.00 - and then a Royal Mail handling fee of £8.00

How can you not buy FOE on cd besides the one that is in the box in case you already own his other 4 albums on cd? It will leave a gaping hole in your collection plus FOE in the box is more or less a diff version since it has bonus tracks.

^ Budget?

Meh. The normal FOE cd is 'just' £15. See one movie less or buy two pair of underpants less and you can buy this cd.

^ Meh. I need pants.

And here we have the perfect proof why QP's release policy is what it is.
They are counting on every RonB to buy different versions of the same products over and over again, even for the privilege of getting LESS material than before.
Maybe this time next year we can expect re-releases of the GH albums with only 16 tracks to satisfy the hardcore collectors..?

I'm just glad they're only putting out one version of The Lot. Was really afraid that they would put out a budget variant containing only the albums and then a deluxe with the bonus-discs + DVD. And yes, I'll buy the separate Fun On Earth release as well. Wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that Electric Fire is the last RT album on the CD-shelf.

:D My pleasure!
Well don't worry, I'm not the same Ron as I was ie 10 years ago when I bought anything that was Queen & related. I wont be buying the new ANATO on bluray, didnt bought any dvd releases in the past 10 years or the Wembley re-re-re-releases for instance. But I typically still buy all diff formats of a new album or single release (ie standard cd, deluxe cd, lp, box).
But this is not just related to QP. Many other artists and labels do this as well. Just look at McCartney's latest album which was released as a cd, deluxe cd and will be on vinyl soon. Or Bowie's album from earlier this year; cd, deluxe cd, 2lp, 2lp on red vinyl and soon there will be a 2cd/dvd release. Ofcourse I also had to buy the Japanese cd back then for the exclusive bonus track :)

The only downside with the way they've packaged this set is that IF the albums have been remastered and sound better than the ones we currently have, then I'll have to do the same as I did with the Freddie box and copy the discs onto CDR's which I can pull off the shelf to listen to.
I certainly won't be opening this box set every time I want to listen to an album.
