The only downside with the way they've packaged this set is that IF the albums have been remastered and sound better than the ones we currently have, then I'll have to do the same as I did with the Freddie box and copy the discs onto CDR's which I can pull off the shelf to listen to.
I certainly won't be opening this box set every time I want to listen to an album.
I think that RT's box will be more handy, considering its measurements. Plus, it depends the way that it will be displayed. On Freddie's box you had to take out the actual book from its box. Not comfortable. Perhaps "The Lot" will be more like a traditional book and therefore easier to manage.
Btw, I wonder if "Fun On Earth" will be remastered too. ;-)

I'm guessing that a lot of people who would have bought Fun on Earth will be buying The Lot, rather than the single FOE cd - not that I'm bothered about chart positions, but I'm guessing this will hit any charting of FOE negatively as the box set sales won't count?
How can you not buy FOE on cd besides the one that is in the box in case you already own his other 4 albums on cd? It will leave a gaping hole in your collection plus FOE in the box is more or less a diff version since it has bonus tracks.
Well, I can quite easily buy The Lot without buying FOE with less tracks as a standalone.
However, if you are going to buy it, you can do worse than order from Sainsburys Online for £8.99, rather than the £14.99 from Amazon or £10.99 from QOL Store:
Something dodgy is going on, QOL was always the most expensive place to buy up until now.
Also, the price is on the increase at Amazon UK.

Yes, very strange fro Amazon to be so pricey compared to QOL Store. ('The Lot' is more expensive at Amazon too).

I suppose there's always the possibility that these are independent releases, and all other stores have to buy them from the QOL store.
I'm guessing that Amazon UK didn't list this before they knew the actual price they have to pay, whereas other online stores aren't too bothered about losing a few hundred pounds.

If you already pre-ordered from amazon UK you MAY now only pay only £82.21
I have just ordered it myself for that price..
It still gave me an estimated delivery date of:
Thursday, November 14, 2013 - Saturday, November 16, 2013
QOL price is still £100 plus delivery.
It's still more than I paid for the FM box set when I pre-ordered that, but I suppose it's a bit more of a reasonable price all things being considered.
It could possibly come down a bit more.
I still think it's overpriced when compared to the Harry Nilsson 17 disc box set at £54

The good news is if you ordered from amazon uk at £100+ you should now see your order is amended to £82.31

Yep, I ordered at £107, and now it shows as £82.
Very pleased, I can now spend the spare change on another record!

^ Indeed, quite a saving on the QOL price as it even includes free delivery.

This set contains a unique album mix of 'Pressure On', if no one's been reading the other threads . . .

More various mix-surprises to come I think :) It's a pity 'Is It Me or Is It You' still is abridged version...
