No to mention Freddie's own Keep Passing The Open Windows. No need to start offending people though.
there was no offence there that i could see. statement of fact - and nothing more or less. in fact where have YOU been when Rocknrollover's been flamed elsewhere? or do you deem those comments not offensive? - just mine? which - taking into account that i didn't use insulting terms or nouns (i can if you want) makes my comment much less "offensive" than the others you've "overlooked"
...perhaps that says more about you than me?

I like this song. Nice melody and voice which tells you , "don't try suicide"! if there's best song against suicide so this song is one of the few against this evil!
you seem to imply this is the best of a "few"
you love to bask in your ignorance don't you?
there are many songs that take an anti-suicide stance, freddie's is a nice little tune - but nothing special...and certainly nowhere near as great as these:
REM - everybody hurts
Rush - pass
wilson-phillips - Hold On
peter gabriel & kate bush - don't give up
allman brothers - dreams
elton john - someone saved my life tonight

You really are a troll, Do you like anything?...you should be ashamed of yourself at you're age. alway's taking the negative stance on everything. Nowhere in this thread has anyone said Don't try Suicide is the best anti Suicide song af all time...I also like the song, the middle section sounds like something from west side story (someone else mentioned already) but I wouldn't say it's one of freddie's very best songs. A nice song on a very good Album.
jeez Mike!!!
read RnRO's post - and my post
1. i haven't trolled
2. it wasn't negative - i said "it's a nice little tune" - that's positive NOT negative
3. read his (RNRO) attempt at English - he's appearing to imply it is the "best of a few"
4. i even went as far as to point him in the direction of (imo) some great anti-suicide tunes - that's not something a troll would do
feel free to retract. also, what's age got to do with it?
i have an opinion about your reply - but i wouldn't say "you should be ashamed at your age"...as you're also voicing your opinion - something you don't deem me allowed to do. thanks

Sorry, I missed that party. Got well underway, but stumbled over a sign that said "Don't Feed The Trolls". So all my post says about me is basically that I do not take you for a troll.
Feel free to object.

How is this above statement not offensive?
You were singled out for a very good reason. Your insulting and baiting of RNRO for his innocuous opinion of DTS triggered the ruining of a decent topic.
Your insults would have been better directed at RNRO's inflammatory "AMAZING RAINBOW" topic, where QZ rightfully pilloried RNRO for resuming his petty insults of QPL contractors.
Of course, it would be better to ignore RNRO and deny him his perverse joy he receives whenever he baits QZ.

"Don't Try Suicide" is a black comedy piece. Roger has remarked that he found the track to be quite funny. A review back in the day questioned the sincerity of the anti-suicide message when the refrain ("You need help. . . .) was in the style of a "blues revival" or something like that. Does anyone know the review to which I'm referring? I want to find it so that I can get the exact term that the reviewer used.
I always enjoyed the song. One small thing I like about it is how easy it is to pick out Brian and Roger's individual vocals -- for example, on the repeated lines, "You got it."
