Would anyone like to come to my house next week for tea and sandwiches?

Would anyone like to come to my house next Monday evening, about 6-ish, for sandwiches and homemade trifle, and other wondrous English things - including tea made in a teapot, not in the mug, and with tea leaves, not bags.

Don't rush. Be calm. Just peaceful niceness, general serenity, quiet and nothing noisy or irritating, is all that's on offer. Bring something nice.

If you can get me a plane ticket and convince my boss to allow time off, sure :-P

That sounds spiffing old boy. Sadly the travel time from New Zealand to England means I may be a tad late and anything I make to bring will be spoilt. A half way meet perhaps?

Oh and I miss proper tea, they just don't get it down here, it's like normal tea that's been filtered several times to remove all the flavour
