"It reminds me of "Fairy fellers master stroke""

Are you drunk?
I think this reply was quite funny... Don't think it was meant to be mean... Just disbelief... And that's no problem, is it?

I love both songs by the way!

I have been coming to this site for 15 years and I've been listening to Queen for over 20 years. It might say I'm a "newbie", but that doesn't mean I know nothing about this band. I choose not to post or respond to anything on here because all you people are pathetic morons. I will never post on here again. thank you, and get a life people!
Awww don't be like that, tell us where the similarities are, thats all we ask :-)

It's funny because The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke reminds me of Love Me Do by the Beatles. I think it is because they both have drums.

CDRom, it's just a bit of ribbing, don't take it to heart!

I love Princes of the Universe.

I still can't believe it wasn't a big hit, especially with that incredible video.

Go figure...

I actually thought that Moog's initial response was quite funny, and didn't see it as hatred. It was up to the OP to point out the similarities, and if he/she has been here for 15 years prior to posting, then they might've known that such a bold statement would open them up to a bit of humourous banter. I didn't see any malice in it at all.

On the flipside, I was going to open this post up by saying "lay off guys, let the dude talk" - until I noted he/she then went on to call us ALL pathetic morons instead of taking the opportunity to explain what they meant.

If that's how they feel, then with the utmost respect, they're most welcome to walk.

I've learned to never (out loud) compare any of Queen's 80's material to Queen II for similar reasons. :)

please try ;-)

Queen II is pretty much on its own island, to me anyway.

It's never been my favorite but I appreciate the structure of it and how it's really an 'experience' to listen to it.

Definitely an album I'd very rarely ever play just a single track from at one time (with the possible exception of SSOR, but that's by design - being the 'single' and all...)

When I see how easy people can be rude in this forum, I began to understand why trolls play the same game with us.

I've tried to play Princes of the Universe live, and all the rhythm changes indeed reminds me complex compositions like the ones present in Queen II.

I guess it was composed in guitar by freddie. It gives me the same vibe than Ogre battle in some ways. But some of the chords are not the ones you would choose in guitar.. so I guess it's kinda mixed.
Life is real. so real.

You reckon the OP was trolling us? I thought the POTU being similar to FFMS comment was an attempt at a reaction, but always try to give the benefit of the doubt, given that all sorts of crazy shit goes on here lol.

Some guitars were composed by Mack's engineer.

I have to apologize to each and everyone of you. I flew off the handle out of frustration because I didn't receive any serious or enthusiastic answers. I realize that this was my fault because I didn't really explain why I compared these two songs.

I made this comparison because Princes of the universe reminded me earlier Queen/ Freddie songs. The various parts, complex vocals, and different time signatures. These were the songwriting techniques he was using back in the early 70's. So i was wondering if anyone else felt this way about Princes.

Basically, I chose the wrong song to compare it to. Please forgive me.
