Are you sure you didn't hear Tom Deacon ? He's a comedian that (judging from a google search) has been on Al Murray's show before.

Nevertheless I would be intrigued if John ACTUALLY was appearing. I am not discounting your news but I am simply hoping that nobody is disappointed.
