I'm glad he didn't show up during the Genesis 2007 shows. Shame he was there at the O2 in 2008 though.

Well he argued for them with passion and gusto, but really, does anyone here really believe John is, or was, going to be part of his show ?

Some Queen fans, who have been searching for John for years, are desperately naive, so when the name of John Deacon shows up don't be surprised.

I think both Brian and Roger have said that they appear on Mr Bad Guy. And wasn't it confirmed in the FM Solo box that the Love Kills backingtrack originated from The Works' sessions?
I didn't think Brian and Roger were on Mr Bad Guy...tho I know the guitar player on that plays some really Brian-like stuff at times....I do remember reading somewhere that they are both on Love Kills tho!..........really that's more of a Queen song than some stuff on Hot Space....lol
Apologies for carrying on an off-topic line of thought, but I've always been under the impression that it's Roger playing the drums on TMBMTLTT on The Mr Bad Guy album. I know there's a bit of synth drums/drum machine in there, but I can certainly hear his trademark opening and closing of the hi-hat with the snare. That said, the guy who does the drumming for the rest of the album (between the masses of drum machines or synths!) does a good job and could pass off for Rog in places.

I can't understand why people are getting so het up about this. Yes, we know John Deacon is retired and that he hasn't made any contact with the public (nor Rog & Bri supposedly) since the mid to late nineties. Yet people seem to go berserk when John Deacon still doesn't come into contact with the outside world, after being teased by Mr Murray into thinking that we are going to hear from him through his radio show.
Of all of the places that we'd hear from ol' Deaky, do we really think it'd be through a lunchtime slot on a not particularly mainstream radio station?

Really? It's not Roger on that track, and sounds nothing like him either in terms of sound or style. To me, the drumming (like you say, wherever there is some!) on the rest of that album is pedestrian and 'drumming by numbers' and very uninspiring.
I suppose it's very possible that Roger could have performed drums on some early demo versions of some of the Mr Bad Guy tracks that Freddie asked the other chap (Curt Cress) to copy, much in the way that the guitarist was asked to mimic Brian's solos in 'She Blows Hot And Cold' and 'Man Made Paradise'.
