Stone Cold Crazy, Sheer Heart Attack, & Now I'm Here are my guesses.

What do you think?

because of age? nah. if he wanted to, he could. i really hope they don't set up 2 drummers on this tour like they have in some of the recent shows they've done

If you think age is a big factor - look at Neil Peart. He's better today than he was in the 70s - and just as fast - endurance and pacing is key.

Roger probably hasn't rehearsed as much as he used to - i think doing a North American tour will probably gear him up. Now I'm Here has to be heard on this tour - at the very least we should get to see him do his bit on Dragon Attack - fingers crossed for a Now I'm Here/Dragon Attack medley.

It's a long shot, but i'm really hoping to hear, at least an excerpt of, Liar - not Adam Lambert singing it - just Brian & Roger interplay - a minute.

He really did seem to run out of steam on the last Hammersmith show in 2012 when I saw them - even to the point that Rufus played all of Tie Your Mother Down. If you look at the set, the second half was VERY much geared around Brian.

As a drummer I wouldn't consider Now I'm Here to be too much, especially perhaps if he did it eaarly on like they di Seven Sea Of Rhye last time out, but the other suggestions, yes - too much for him certainly the way he has played the last three or four years. On the 2005 Q+PR tour he was really impressive still, and hitting quite confidently and hard (I was at the fron at Brixton for the first show and he was superb) - amazingly by the Cosmos Rocks tour his performance level had slipped, and by 2012 it was sad to see him on some songs almost resting his stick on the snare drum rather than hitting it. I'm wondering if his hearing has as much to do with it as well as his general physical fitness?

As stated above there are lots of drummers such as Peart, Tico Torres, Ian Paice etc.. of his age group that still perform ,and I think the key is that they didn't lose some of of their best years in a big chunk like Roger did, and they have been continually playing.

I must have misread this cause I was thinking vocally.

That would be simple

Fight from the inside
in the lap of the gods (scream that was never performed)
I go crazy

But live? Wow. You guys have much more experience having seen the Hammersmith shows. Based on your observations and the few miscues I saw on the bootlegs. I'd guess

I'd wager
don't stop me now
now I'm here
Stone cold crazy
headlong (Brian performed it on his solo tours)
I want it all

Addendum: I certainly hope Bri and Rog play a Lambert song ... even as a good natured thank you. If he does any of his own songs I'm hoPing it's a short opener or mini set WITH HIS OWN BAND.

After seeing them several times from 2005 onwards, I thought Roger looked really out of shape on the first Q+PR tour and looks a hell of a lot fitter now. Maybe its just age. Brian will be the same, his fingers won't be as quick as they once were

You're kidding, of course! But I'd love to see Adam rockin' "Sleepwalker" with Brian on the guitar solo in that song!

Losing a few pounds might help his cause ;-)

I remember at the Appolo seeing the big Timpani Drums set up next to Rogers kit and thinking oh my god we are going to get Rogers big drum solo.Only for for them to be used by his son during We Will Rock You.A big let down.Weight shoud not really be an issue ,John Bonham was not exactly small for instance ! I think its more an age thing and wanting to do a bit more singing out front.I must admit i do cringe a little when he sings Radio Ga Ga,he just does not have much stage precence out front. If they tour the UK again, i really don't think i will go and see them again after the last one at Hammersmith.Say what you want about Adam Lambert but i think he carried the show at times.I think i would rather remember Queen when they were releavent, put on big stage shows and the excitement was fantastic.I went to see Muse last year and the show was just amazing and i was seeing a band at the top of their game.Queen will always be my number one band and if people still want to go and see them i would say good on them, its just not for me anymore.

About singing, I hate it when he reads the texts from the screens. Very unprofessional to not rehearse the lyrics well enough to remember them.

Age and fitness is a problem for Drummers. Though there are drummers such as Neil Peart, who are brilliant, but it shouldn't be forgotten that the likes of him and Ian Paice still play more regularly then RT. I know the rehearsal time that Rush put in for a tour is longer than Queens 2012 European "tour" .

Ginger Baker who is older than RT still plays well, although in a more limited way compared to the way he used too. He was still playing well on the Cream reunion gigs. Also Phil Collins, after a shaky start was playing well on the last Genesis tour.

As regards to Now Im Here. In 86 RT was saying it's a hard song to play and takes it takes it out of you!.

He definitely did sing it live, every night on the SHA tour, Oct 74 to May 75.

Correction noted.

Guess I never really heard many of the early 70's gigs in full

^ I second that. Boston 76 is a must for anyone who has heard of Queen.

As for Lap Of The Gods - even on the official Rainbow release you can see Roger sing the bit. Although the video synching is off (which may lead one to think it's an overdub), he did it every night.
