Given the fact that he has a fan club who you will define as "not small", I will define "small" as "not enough people to convince his record company that he is a viable artist." If he's as talented as the fans think, please, please, please tell me why the record company is/was guiding him to do a record of 80s covers? I know why, but none of you Glamberts will accept the fact that his music is flavour of the month pop that has no heft (or gravitas) and the record company has no faith in his writing. therefore, go with what he is: a cover artist who made his name as a nice singer on a karaoke show. If you equate that with being an artist I can't help you.
BTW, I have posted that I think he has a once voice for poppy things, but can't sing rock to save his life so I'm not totally against his talent. He's so far out of his league singing Queen's stuff live it's a joke.

Further to the above, 185,000 album sales for an album that debuted at number 1 is painfully weak. Maybe the record company sees that he has no traction with anyone but his fan base so that's why they don't want him doing original (co-written) songs because few people other than the fan base is interested? What'd he sell 15-20 k thousand albums after he debuted at number 1? Not a good business model. Just a thought.

Not true! I've taken more jabs than thrown them because I had the threat of banishment constantly hanging over my head. You could say whatever you wanted and get away with it. I apologize to the rest of the posters here for losing my temper so badly. I just can't stand it the way that woman has dogged me for over two years. No matter what I post, she is right there tearing me apart two minutes later.
BTW I have NEVER compared Adam to Freddie and I have spoken many times about Freddie and how he is one of a kind and no one can ever replace him. Other people in the media and elsewhere have compared them because of their powerful voices and ranges. I'm happy for Adam because Freddie is one of his personal idols and I'm sure he is thrilled to have this amazing opportunity. I hope the Queen fans have a better opinion once these shows have taken place.
